What's less safe right now because of Trump is free and fair elections. That's a fact.
I know that I am a new guy to this insult-oriented forum, but I have tried to stay above that. I have also tried to get an answer to a question, but none comes.
I keep hearing Trump is the threat to "free and fair elections." That "democracy is at stake." Given the rules set by the parties themselves governing the elections, how is the Democratic Party not threatening our free and fair democratic process by (potentially) replacing the current duly-elected nominee by someone they didn't vote for in accordance with out established democratic process and norms. (I know, I know, only the delegates are elected, but let's not get semantic, we all know what I mean here.)
I mean, if Biden is incompetent, he should be 25th'd. He is not being removed, so I can only believe it is because those who get to make the decisions believe him to be competent. If competent, the only reason his replacement is being discussed is because he is losing. If he is losing, so be it. He is the one the Democratic voters chose. If he is losing, and loses, he loses. How can any replacement, absent incompetence (as determined by the 25th, not simply policy preference) be allowed?
Seriously, are the Dems now contending, after years of asserting otherwise, that Jan. 6th was simply an attempt to "replace" an elected president because those who wanted Trump as President thought the "majority" wanted it on Jan. 6th? Are they now o.k. with the disregard of the total votes as they were tallied in Nov. and believe the events of Jan 6 should have been allowed because, well, January 6th was different than election day in November, so removal was ok if the majority thought it was ok?
I just don't get it.
Flame away.
