And I cannot think of a single solitary nationally prominent Democrat that I would be willing to vote for for President. The Democrat party is wholly in the clutches of the far left now. I voted for Bill Clinton. I could have voted for Joe Lieberman. The sane Democrats have all left (or been pushed off) the stage.Dem regulars are moving up the roll call ahead of the Dem convention, to solidify Biden's spot. Seems like this is the people around Biden trying to stay in powerful spots themselves because they know that a new nominee means they are out.
I am very close to changing my registration to Independent.
Don't get me wrong, I would vote for anyone over Trump, including Biden. But the party, itself, is tripping over itself to hand Trump the election.
I liked quite a few Dems back in the day. Remember Dan Rostenkowski, Dennis DeConcini and Daniel Patrick Moynihan? Even Al Gore was OK in the 1980sAnd I cannot think of a single solitary nationally prominent Democrat that I would be willing to vote for for President. Just curious, could you name three Democrats you would support for President?

Yeah, I met Gore at a community meeting when he was my Senator. Fairly centrist until his aspirations turned National. Then he became a totally different man.I liked quite a few Dems back in the day. I don't think he wants to admit publicly that he has some sort of cognitive disease. I see him saying something like "my doctors have advised me to drop out for health reasons" and not say anything more than spending more time with family, "it's time" and stuff like that. Problem is he could have and should have, said that a couple years agoOTOH he has given himself a new "out" in the event the building pressure from the elites and Dem powerbrokers to drop out becomes irresistable.
Good point. He’ll find a way to drop out somewhat graciously or risk taking the whole Dem party down in the Nov elections. With his ego and hubris, it’s a tough call.I don't think he wants to admit publicly that he has some sort of cognitive disease. The thing most people have forgotten is that if he had only carried Tennessee, he would have been President. He drifted too far away from his own constituency and became an historical foot note as a result. Almost Shakespearean level tragedy when you think about itHe went off the cliff on climate change. I guess he did make a hundred million or so on that but still...

Check NetflixI read the book years ago. Having come from poverty to working my way through UTK in Chemical Engineering to being a successful owner of a small but lucrative catalyst business, I can relate to Vance's life story.
I searched on Amazon Prime for his movie last night but came up empty-handed. Oh well.
