I'm not obsessed with how he votes, he is offering on a public forum. Second, he can vote for whoever he wants, but what he is putting on the forum makes no logical sense.

Political Science 101..there is no accountability with a bureaucracy.
You have some ideological beliefs that you learned from some where, but it certainly isnt American Constitutional government.

3) They need to go to Governors from red, southeastern states, who are untainted by the tribal politics of Congress.
4) They need to go young. Andy Beshear is only 46 years old. Roy Cooper is 67. Cooper is older than I would like, but still 11 years younger than Trump.
5) They need to go anti-woke.
6) They need to go Pro-2nd Amendment. Gov. Beshear is strongly opposed to banning assault rifles.

Beshear/Cooper checks every box. This ticket would win.

You didn’t pose this to me, but being a Kentuckian, I have a little perspective. Yes, he follows many of the standard Dem positions, but other than having state troopers lock up church goers during the beginning of Covid, he hasn’t been too terrible. I believe Beshear would be incredibly difficult to defeat for Trump.

That being said, Dems have gone so far left and woke, would they get behind such a true moderate Dem?

I don't expect it to happen .... but if you are Trump/Vance, how do you run against a ticket like Beshear/Cooper?

It would be their worst nightmare.

Beshear/Cooper nukes every single attack that Republicans have been lodging against Biden/Harris. Republicans would essentially be starting over at square one with their negative campaigning. Beshear/Cooper have no ties to Democrats in Congress or to Biden/Harris. They are from southeastern red states. Well, North Carolina is pink, I guess .... but still .... it makes so much sense.

I guess the VP would be a term limited gov..I dont see one that would give up another term for a VP spot by playing second fiddle for 8 years, especially being popular in their own state. Have no idea who that would disqualify.

I agree that Harris is not much of a game changer .....

However, Beshear/Cooper changes not just the game, but the sport that is being played. The DNC has a path to victory here. The question is : Do they have the balls to do it?

Everyone will hold serve until they see what polling exists in swing states for Harris vs Trump. No one, except family, votes for the VP.

Give it a rest.

There has never been a president who did not rely on the input of people more knowledgeable. (except maybe trump)
And that is the way it should be. The accountability still rests on the president.

You know what else having 46 year old Gov. Andy Beshear as the nominee does?

He makes Trump's age an issue ...... so one of the most effective lines of attack against the presumed Democratic Party nominee is not only stripped away from Trump - it can now be used against him. I can't see how Trump runs against Beshear.
