No platform is a strategy. Sometimes it is the best platform to us because you cannot be held accountable. Plus, why drift into areas which can be attacked, ridiculed or scrutinized to death. Sticking to the issues that already been established on the platform is their base is their best COA.
The President can do whatever they want and in this case do what ever they desire once in office without breaking a platform stance. Kind of Sh***y, but effective and done so without breaking a platform promise.
