No way I could possibly have known him. Neither did you. My father served in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He met him once but didn't know him personally. I respect him for his great service.

He had a huge ego, was accused of bullying and mistreating his troops, defied the established chain of command and authority, and displayed autocratic tendencies. Most of this was generally if not specifically public knowledge.

In short, he had a lot of qualities that you seem to find unappealing. Did his character flaws negate his ability to achieve mission success and defeat the enemy?

That's not what a sociopath does. A sociopath uses things like you are doing without feelings, to gain a level of trust i.e. an act. You don't care about women and you went on to admit it.

I’m sure it’s just coincidence. I don’t believe in coincidences when politics is involved though. Just unfortunate you assumed she got the job for the right reasons and not family connections.

I get it. It's horribly broken. You apparently think we just strangle the Federal govt, all the crap we have allowed it to fund for years, and let our children clean it up.

Fine. That's a decent opinion, I guess. I'm old. I want to pass on what I can to the family when I'm gone. Someone mentioned that Harris wanted really crazy estate tax and capital gains taxes that WOULD be bad for my family (among a boatload of other things the Dems want govt to do that both of us feel they shouldn't.)

I looked it up and commented on what the plan actually says. In the immediate future, my concern is my family and what I leave for them. The estate tax Harris purposes nor the capital gains changes the Dems propose won't hit me. Do I trust them not to make it worse? No. Frankly, I don't trust the GOP to make it worse either.

My concern isn't a big political position. I've got a family, I've got some assets, I've got some age on me, and I've got the need to talk with someone about the best way to leave things when I leave.

Beyond that, little matters to me.

Gave you a like because I am in the same boat. Don’t want the govt taking too much of what I leave for the family. Turning 70 soon and still working full time in a business in which my 25 yr old son is #2… and a daughter closer to 30 who’s an over educated SJW not making a lot of money… and a wife who was a school teacher in the old Soviet system.
