2024 Presidential Race

What a clown. I can see how our country has devolved based on people like you and your lack of thought

Our country is the wealthiest it’s ever been. Our PPP GDP per capita is top 8 in the world and the only countries ahead of us have populations under 10M. Americans have the highest disposable incomes in the world. The stock market at near record highs.

Trump claims how terrible this country is or we’re a third world country? He’s full of sh*t. He only cares for himself and how he can advance his own power.

Trump and the MAGA movement belong in the dustbin of history.

It also exploded because of Trump's massive spending. If you're concerned with spending then neither is your candidate

I agree too. He spent way too much. At this point I've given up on any spending cuts. The county where I lived increased our property taxes 30% for public schools. That's on top of state and fed taxes. I'd want keep further tax increases delayed so we can continue building to retire, but if/when Obama is elected again and he puts that unrealizd gains tax, that's gonna be tough.

Fair.
Let’s go with legal loopholes
I don't think that's gonna work for me. Of course, you are free to use any verbiage you deem appropriate.

If we are using loopholes as an "ambiguity or inadequacy" in the law, I dont think there is much of that. If something is inadequate and it is exploited the tax law is usually amended quickly to close the true-to-definition loophole.

Loophole is misused to disparage folks who follow the law to pay the minimum in tax liability. Which is something everyone does...even those making minimum wage. For some reason it's only a problem when wealthier folks want to pay the minimum liability.

Wages have outpaced inflation since February ‘23. The inflation narrative is effectively over, and the Fed will likely cut rates next month.
How long until wages catch up to the last 4 years though? The Dollar I had 4 years ago is now worth .70 cents. Now if my wages have went up by .04 cents this year, how is it effectively over?

So, explain the issues that is making hyou vote for KH. Leave Trump name out of it.

*Sigh* Seriously? I do believe you have me confused with someone else. You should have done a tad bit of research before asking me that question, if and when you do, you’ll find that I’m about the last person who would cast a vote for that ticket. I don’t have a clue where you came up with that miles off course assumption.

And you’re the perfect example of why I refer to Trump and the MAGAS as the party of hate and division. You have no positive vision for our country.
What about wealth confiscation, govt price controls over corps, and decreased freedoms is positive? I don't understand that at all

Division….Maga’s , Deplorable s, Hillbiilly’s….who is the party of division? It’s right out of the Rules for Radical playbook.

Keep falling for it and some day you will realize it’s too late.

Americans have less disposable income, fewer savings, and more debt than at any time in American history!

You support electing a convicted felon. You may want to revisit who the stupid one is.
"Convicted felon".

Under the Biden/Harris administration, stocks are near record highs, our GDP and net wealth are the highest it’s ever been. Inflation is under 3% now. Wage increases have outpaced inflation for the last year. American productivity has boomed post COVID.

In fact, the stock boom allowed my wife and I to put a significant down payment on a home.

I’m done with Trump and MAGA. He’s a pathological liar who’ll say and do anything for a vote. According to Trump, everything is terrible if he doesn’t win, but great if he does. Trump is full of sh*t. It’s always about Donald. He puts himself and his interests over our nation. He’s the epitome of hate and division. It’s time to move on as a nation.
see - you got too excited, greedy. You dove too deep into the stereotypical nonsense too fast to make it instantly unbelievable. You're attempt to troll is noted.

I hate the term loopholes to describe a legislatively enacted tax preference put into the Tax Code. That's not a loophole; that's the legal framework. I get paid to organize your facts within this legal framework to pay as little as this legal framework allows you to pay. That's not wrong, immoral, or unjust.

There are gray areas in the tax code, especially around valuation. The tax code isnt gray as much as the valaution is. Whether its on the corporate side when you have affiliated companies interacting with each other or personally when it comes to stuffing a Roth IRA. Once again, I take your facts, the legal framework, and the use of an outside valuation expert to achieve the best legal result.

This is what 98% of high net worth taxpayers do. There are going to be disputes on valuation from time to time but most will at least abide by the rules. They may take aggressive gray positions.

I was in a Verizon store the other day. An old geezer (like me) at the other counter was wearing a tee shirt with the following quote (from Reagan I believe). “You can vote your way into Communism” was on the front, and on the back “… but you’ll have to shoot your way out of it”.

No doubt who that old boy’s voting for.

here on VN? we certainly aren't representative of the whole nation.
Anywhere. People hate on MAGA, but I haven’t seen anywhere near as much about “conservatives” in general “destroying this country” like you hear every day about “the left”/“liberals”/“wokeness”

Not a good look by those who vetted him. A weird wolf in sheep's clothing. The guy makes it easy to dislike him and his lies. Gives another glimpse into who he is.

I guess Tim thought he could slide a quick one past the people with clear frustration in public toward his autistic son and not disrupt his All-American dad persona.

Nothing burger. If you have special needs kids you’re going to be yanking them at times. They should let this one go.
You didn't see that as a frustration toward the kid? He jerked his arm with force and seemed frustrated. He didn't even appear to speak to the kid to encourage him to walk forward. I will watch again but why did Tim put the kid on stage to make a speech if it's that much of an issue?

After watching again, Tim's reaction is definitely debatable. Again why put the kid on stage for a speech exposing him unless you are attempting to garner some type of sympathy.

Also, he’s 17! He was diagnosed with “nonverbal learning disability,” whatever the hell that is, as a teenager. This isn’t some special needs toddler!

He pulled his son out of the way of walking into the teleprompter

Not that I think the whole thing is that big of a deal to begin with, but I don’t think so. The teleprompter is most likely at a bare minimum 10 to 15 feet probably further in the foreground there. Camera angles can be very deceiving. It would be the first teleprompter I’ve ever seen put anywhere near where pedestrian traffic would be.

So what if “inflation is under 3%“. NOW? Basic necessities still cost somewhere between 20 and 30 percent MORE than they did pre Biden. That‘s like saying „my kid has a fever of 102 but it’s only going up 1 degree an hour instead of 2.“
The last four years have devestated the middle class. Even if stocks are up; that doesn’t help people now before they retire. And many families have wiped out their savings just to make ends meet.
So yeah, if you are wealthy and basic necessities are only a small part of your budget and if you live on investments instead of a salary; things are great. But for 98% of people, this is unsustainable

I’m of the belief that they are things written into the law to as payment for support so while legal they should not be there.
But ultimately it doesn’t matter that much to me what they’re called. So we’ll go with pixy gift codes. If that works for you
