I'm sure there were, but not Trump. Trump told GOP Senators he did not want Biden to have a victory on this and wanted the issue to run on.
The Biden administration, including Harris, should have done a lot more to reduce illegal immigration. I agree with you. (To be fair, there are limits. Trump himself had some EOs turned down due to lack of Congressional action and he said legislation was ultimately necessary).
Understand, I am NOT giving Harris a pass on this.
My point is simply that Trump's claim that he is advocating for a resolution to this issue for the good of the country is not true. He advocated AGAINST a solution, albeit an imperfect one, for HIS benefit, not ours. Don't lie to your self or others about that.
