2024 Presidential Race

What's the last post you had criticizing Harris Biden for the border? Have you been more critcla of Trump over the border the last three years or Harris/Biden ? The answer to that should tell you all you need to know about you being mocked for your claim to being "independent."

I'm not going to go back but know for a fact I've criticized the Biden administration for, among other things:

Too much spending

Stalemate on border reforms

Botched Afghan withdrawal

Misplaced focus on exaggerated social justice issues

Not what I asked. How many times have you criticized the Biden admin for the border during his admin, vs the number you've criticized Trump for the border, DURING Bidens admin? We both know you look like a partisan hack.

My point is, Mr, Independent, that you've complained more about Trumps handling of the border (while not in office) for something that happened six months ago, than you have the entire failure at the border by this admin, for the last 3 years. I don't know how else you could look at that and not admit that you are a hack.

If Skamala says Joe did such a great job as Prez, why is she promising to do so many things on her first day in office? Hey Hoe, you’re in office now, do it.

Like normal, you are lying through your teeth. You might hit them with a wet noodle slap 1/1000th of the time.....

we have been over this a dozen times, and you continue to lie about it. That bill would not have done anything to reduce illegal immigration.

1. it only counted actual contact with illegals towards the count to shut down the border
2. non-Mexicans didn't count towards the count to shut down the border. and the bill wouldn't have done anything to stop someone from Guatemala or China from crossing the southern border.
3. the count to shut down the border went up every year.
4. the president could ignore the count whenever he chose.
Has @lawgator1 acknowledged the kill switch written into the bill yet?

Or is he still ignoring that for the 137th time?

Easiest voting decision I have had ever. If your 401K shows a profit it’s taxed. If it doesn’t you don’t get a refund.

The last two idiots the communists have run are the dumbest in the history of this country.
The part everyone leaves out is the unrealized tax is on households over $100 million. It's going to be near impossible to have valuation tracked for privately held stocks, options, warrants , etc. The one that concerns me is the jump from 20 to 44% on long term capital gains. That's something that could actually be done with the stroke of a pen and could turn us back into a 1970s high tax/low investment era where people look for tax shelters.

Of course Trump's proposal to levy a 40% tariff on imports from China is a tax on every single American.

Both candidates are such morons

If Trump had wanted a border wall, he would have done it! He had four years.

If Trump had wanted to reduce illegal immigration, he wouldn't have killed the bi-partisan bill earlier this year. He would have allowed it to pass, reduce illegal immigration, and supported future legislation to restrict it further.

Harris hardly has a lock on disegenuousness on this issue.
Nice try.

The Alternative Minimum Tax started out hitting only millionaires.

The income tax was to pay for the civil war and (from PBS):
...if you read the 1913 form, you’ll see that the tax brackets went up progressively from there: above $20,000 (today’s half a million dollars, at the very least), $50,000 (more than a million) and so on up to the top marginal rate $500,000 1913 dollars, which would be at least $10 million today.

So clearly, the income tax was designed at the start to be a tax on the wealthy, a way to “soak the rich.”
