Indeed and I would encourage all such persons to vote for another candidate. Just pick the other candidate with just as much care as you reject Trump. The enemy of the devil isn’t automatically a Saint

I think character AND policy matters. Again two separate issues. I would vote for Harris over any of the Republicans because she has better or comparable character (Haley seems to be fine, from a character perspective), and better policy positions. Trump is crap on both.

I think Trump is many things, I wouldn’t consider him an idiot. He’s was very successful in business, he’s been very successful in politics afterwards. Most of the list of people you’re citing are ones that were fired or relieved of their duties. Again if you want to say he’s an Ahole, no arguments.

Kamala isn’t capable of facing the questions or scrutiny that Trump has faced for years. The few times she’s spoke or submitted ideas she’s either walked them back or had people make excuses for her. She’s tried to copy cat a lot of what Trump has proposed as well. She may have had to be on her knees a few times to climb the political ladder but “her values haven’t changed”.

Of course they will vote for another candidate. Unfortunately, there are only two with any legitimate chance. It was the perfect time for a good third option.

Most of those men and women have had successful careers of their own. We aren't talking about a few people either. I don't accept that the problem is always disgruntled former staff members with axes to grind. Especially, the Secretaries of State .... Tillerson called Trump a f***ing moron. Pompeo called him an idiot.

I seriously think you believe everyday is Opposite Day. It is widely considered that Trump helped to bring back NYC real estate in the late 70's/ early 80's.

I think that is better than bringing back Wild Irish Rose.

Agreed. He also brought the ice skating rink back to Rockefeller Plaza. That was a big deal. It's iconic.

He is destined to have a complicated legacy, and his business acumen is a part of that. He inherited more than what he wanted anyone to believe .... His best business venture was the brainchild of someone else - Mark Burnett and The Apprentice. It rebranded him as a wildly successful and self-made entrepreneur. Sketchy at best.

I am more concerned with his comportment and temperament than his condition. But I feel he is a much safer bet that Harris. Like I said, he had this job before and did a pretty good job. Better the flawed choice that you know than the undefined enigma candidate who refuses to be pinned down own anything, at least in my mental calculus. You apparently feel otherwise which I can respect

One of the great memory holing jobs of our time is how this guy was nothing short of awesome...literally "sharp as a tack" and his "age is his superpower" and all the other thermonuclear gaslighting that went on essentially right up until the very evening of 6/27.

It doesn't matter in the least what you think of Trump regarding the above*...it's incredible to what extent legions of politicians/media were perfectly willing to proclaim what you can watch happening with your own eyes and hearing with your own ears didn't happen. Now you're just supposed to forget the whole thing ever happened.

*There's not one word in any of this that pro-Trump nor does there need to be or even really should be IMHO.

See, the last sentence was just so unnecessary and diminishes your credibility on the first three sentences. Even as an anti-Trump voter I agree with a lot of what you say in those first three sentences. I even think the "values haven't changed" line is stupid and pandering.

Just say you've changed your mind based on changing circumstances and what you've learned. Don't be afraid to do change a position, but do be prepared to justify that change. So you and I are in accord there and her answer was weak and ineffectual.

But then you drop the sentence about sex quid pro quo and you just defeat the rationality of what you said a moment before.
