Right..happened at my Mom’s Methodist church just recently.,the deception by the local leaders is just..no words..Just another institution destroyed by leftists.

I know of many very religious Democrats, but from my experience they tend to pick and choose and compartmentalize really well and place a huge emphasis on Acts… ie Catholics.. though the Protestant liberals tend to be more the pickers and choosers of scripture.. just an observation from someone who has been everything during their lifetime prior to growing up and being a Conservative 😂

I had a grandfather and uncle who were both ordained ministers and spent their lives as Cumberland Presbyterian clergy. They were both old school Democrats. Most of the WW II generation were Democrats. Especially towards Truman and JFK. There was even a like for Ike from that group, at least what I've heard from those of that generation

I almost always support my positions with links to external sources, which provide specific examples of what I'm talking about. I don't remember ever saying anything like, "Do your own research." I wouldn't totally rule out having done it. I've been posting here for 7 years now ... but that would not be typical of how I post at all. I post links .... lots of them.

You can't cite any specific examples, can you? That's what I thought. You are full of hot air and floating around in it.

With the Catholics (married into a Catholic family), but we aren’t Catholic.. Acts get you into heaven ie taking care of poor people..and apparently that supersedes everything else .. drag queens, gay marriages, child trafficking, abortions, pedophilia, extramarital affairs, swingers, pornography in libraries that little kids see..etc they don’t actually really care too much 😂 .. maybe it’s a generalization, but it’s definitely what I picked up on while living as a religious minority in Louisiana

I am not Talking about previous generations. I am Talking about today. And I am
Not meaning to say anything nefarious about who or what they worship. I am sure a lot of them believe they are worshiping God. But when God says something is wrong, but man chooses to believe “oh God didn’t really mean that”, they are putting their own rationality and standards above that of the True God. They are actually worshiping themselves; not in a conscious way; but still dangerous. It goes all the way back to the beginning when the serpent told Eve “God did not say that you would die if you ate the fruit”. Original sin isn’t anything people normally name, it is Pride. We think we know best.
And let me clarify; this is not meant to only ding democrats. But what the democrat party proclaims in their platform today is very visibly against scripture, especially in terms of sex and gender. But we ALL fall into the pride trap at some point in our lives. And it is a daily battle to keep it at bay.

We've sort of been looking around. I'm a little sour right now. I grew up in that church. I was married in that church. My kids were Crisend in that church.

I agree. The Democratic party chooses to include too many fringe groups
