2024 Presidential Race

You don't owe me any favors. And you can post however you wish.

But please consider rethinking references to his drinking. Considering his diagnosis and (possible) addiction, it kinda feels like taking shots at someone for cancer.

Sorry to be a buzzkill, WTO. Thank you.
You're welcome mommy.

I agree it's stupid.

We have advisors on the ground now, that's "troops" we have huge fleet in the area again that's "troops". I know we always have a fleet in the area but it seems more than normal.

With that said you're saying Harris won't lead us into another war.
She couldn't 'lead' a thirsty horse to water.

Bob Woodward, the one hit wonder of journalism 🙄
How is he still a thing? Fifty year career built on one single news story. He is like a band from the 1970s that has one top 40 single and are now Octogenarians playing at County Fairs.
That's a great post.

I know Harris is leading among low info voters as well. The more she's out their the less low info they become.
I’d say most people are low info voters regardless of side. The people in this forum pay far more attention to politics than the average Joe or Jill. That’s why we gravitated to it. I’m on the low end for this forum but exceed the average person when it comes to political awareness.

You know why? Because democrats feel that they own the black vote. If black men can’t figure out if they are for Kamala or Trump, they must not really be black.

They better vote Democrat. They better shut up. And they better be happy with whatever crumbs the democrat party leaves them!

you described Donald Trump to a T with this whole paragraph, but in particular the underlined.

I still laugh at how much whitewashing conservatives do with Trump because he runs with an R besides his name. If he ran on the exact same policy, with the exact same rhetoric, targeting the exact same people, but as a Dem in the mode of Clinton, the R's would hate his yankee butt.

Trump is the lesser of bad options. He gets my vote. The rest of what you're saying is hot air.

I have an hour long podcast you can listen to if you are intellectually curious about the choices before us.

I don't know if it's nerves or stupidity, but Kamala is apparently incompetent at this. This is not a hard question to prepare for. It's unbelievable to me that this person could very well be our next president.

To set the stage, Kamala had already flubbed badly the question from The View on whether she would have done anything differently than Biden. So she goes on Colbert's show, and very predictably gets asked another variation of the same question. I'm sure Colbert is like, surely she's thought of a better answer to this by now and this will help get her out of the ditch she just dug herself. This is how that went....

Colbert: "Polling shows that a lot of people. especially independent voters, really want this to be a 'change' election, and that they tend to break for you, in terms of thinking about change. Uh, you are a member of the present administration, but under a Harris administration, what would the major changes be, and what would stay the same?"

Harris: "sure, well obviously I'm not Joe Biden, so that would be 1 change [giggles a little]. But also, it's important to say that with 28 days to go, I'm not Donald Trump... and so when we think about the significance of what this next generation of leadership looks like were I to be elected President, it is about...frankly...I, I, I love the American people. I love our country. I love that it is our character and nature to be an ambitious people. You know, we have aspirations. We have dreams. We have a work ethic. And..and..I just believe we can create and build upon the success we've achieved in a way that we continue to grow opportunity and in that way grow the strength of our nation."
If she remotely believed anything she said it would come naturally but look at her answer to the same question on The View. She doesn’t believe a word of what’s coming out of her own mouth. It’s all what she’s been told and trained (poorly) to say.

She particularly seemed to offend the white liberal female on the panel just looking at the facial expressions.

I know this is probably a dumb question, but I think I read that it's highly likely that Republicans take control of the Senate. If Trump wins, does that mean Republicans will control all 3 branches? When was the last time that happened?
