2024 Presidential Race

No. Not unless Trump Fs up in the next week...

I suppose the polls could be off.

It seems the D pundit reaction suggests they are losing. I have a hunch if the polls are off they once again under representing Trump support.

Ground game/organization could swing it Harris' way.

IOW - I think Trump has a tiny edge but won't be surprised if Harris wins

My apologies. You said "it's easy to see where it went off the rails." It went off the rails well before him. Dems tossing nazi out at the GOP has been the playbook since before I was alive
I guess we just disagree on "off the rails"'.

I, and I believe history will support me, believe it will be pinpointed to 2016 and trumpism..

The dumb comic may blow this up for him. And I would laugh so hard if that's what cost him the election.

heard anecdotally that PRs who planned to vote for him are pissed - just one person saying it but it wouldn't surprise me. if true, they probably just won't vote

I personally think nationwide, it's even to maybe Kamala +1.

Swing states are going to be Trump +2.5

I think it depends on time periods and what you consider politics. Clearly more political violence during segregation and perhaps Nam. I wasn't born then so speculating. I'd say it's the most in my lifetime. I'm including 2020 protests as political, 1/6, and attempts on Trumps life
Yeah I think I agree with that. Seems like Rodney King and the abortion clinic bombings in 1990’s might be the only competition.

So what is it about social media 2015- that you think exacerbates the effect of rhetoric?

Any POTUS could try a coup but it would require almost the entire NCO corp of the US military to violate their oath. You think Trump could garner that much support?
No his plan was to use some random protestors at the capitol to take over the entire US. We barely survived

I still can't believe the joke. On paper, I thought it was kinda funny but still reacted "wtf" bc of the time and place....then I actually saw the setup and delivery, and it was awful. He seemed nervous. I read he tried the joke the night before in a comedy club and it didn't go over well.

Fascism is a far right ideology and movement.
Fascism was invented by Benito Mussolini, a communist at the time, who decided that the communist party just wasn’t getting it done. Fascism and Communism are twins separated at Birth. „Far right“ was just a label placed on fascism by the communists who by this time were engaged in a brutal conflict with fascism to determine which flavor of socialism was going to rule the world.
The two major dividing points were 1) communism had international goals (world revolution) whereas Fascism became rabidly nationalist and 2) communists nationalized the means of production whereas Fascism allowed economic power to remain with a handful of very powerful corporate barons (as long as the remained subservient to the state). But in both cases, economic policy was totally centrally planned.
Communists and Fascists hated each other largely because they were so similar

Amplification, visibility, and frequency. Today everyone has a microphone.
