2024 Presidential Race

Here's the interesting question: Who believes these major screw-ups by Biden in the last few weeks were intentional acts of revenge to sabatage Kamala?

It sure looks like it. The other option is Biden is even dumber than I initially gave him credit for.

Iā€™ve said before, if someone with no context of the last four years watched what is going on, theyā€™d 100% conclude, ā€œthat old white man is trying to sabotage that womanā€™s campaignā€.

I don't think it's people on the fence between candidates. I think it's people on the fence with voting at all.
Actually I was including those votes. I'm not about to argue the # is zero but c'mon, just another "You guys are X." insult is going to pull people sitting on the couch to the polls when nazi/fascist/bigot/racist/etc couldn't? I think it reflects poorly on Biden but that ship is already below the horizon.

You're missing the whole hero worship / idolizing angle.

Are you claiming the next guy in line will receive the same blind worship?

The cultish worship of trump is an inexplicable and unfortunate phenomenon.
It isnā€™t worship (except for the lunatic fringe). It is a football team rallying around their coach as the fourth quarter winds down.
He has our back so we have his. Same as I would any other Republican nominee going up against Mad Kween Kamala

I don't mind helping you, but that would be socialism and you guys tell me that's a no no.
If you donā€™t understand the difference between socialism (coerced giving) and charity (freely giving from the heart); that probably explains why you constantly seem to miss the whole point of freedom and of society.
The first bestows no moral benefit whatsoever whereas the second is the heart of the Gospel

I was under the distinct impression that she was no fan of the Gospel.

Its very strange.... Luther talks of cults, worship, etc. But he has continuously said he is going to vote for whoever they give him i.e. blind allegiance, faith, etc. I would put Luther in the insane NPC category. Further, you're an idiot if you don't vote for the murderers he has voted for... which some third party is telling him to vote for.

I mean, I asked him for hours what made Trump so bad.... hours later.... he said mean things, "lock her up". I said, shouldn't she be locked up for the attempted murder and murder she was involved in?

Orange would not exist without the insane people like Luther around, the irony.

Luther has to continuously up the hatred of people that vote for Trump, which is why you get all this strange trumpism speak.... so he can justify his existence to vote for murderous types. The logic being.... if you are fighting Satan.... a few murderers are good for your team.

But Luther is all safe from the epic battle of good and evil because he has a double face diaper on and none of this will harm him while he is telling everyone how dumb they are. šŸ¤£

It's kinda wild that this isn't a bigger story. Trump and Bezos have been feuding since 2015. Trump has definitely tried to bully him/Amazon. People are generally scared of what Trump may do when in office. 11 days before the election, Bezos tells his WaPo they can't endorse a candidate, and then meets with Trump people.

Beore you respond, imagine if this were the other way.

Did Trump do anything to Bezos When he was in office the first time? If he didn't, what makes you think he would this time?

How did that post get attributed to me? Strange
it is weird given it was me that posted it - which is why I responded
My phone or VN has started retaining posts if I donā€™t submit them. I probably started responding to Hill, then did the other one, had to delete the old post and I screwed up and somehow merged them.

Unfortunately I got sidetracked and a nuanced agreement about the effect of social media got lost.

Tl;dr: like fire, political violence needs more than just rhetoric but social media dividing people up into echo chambers and disseminating messages makes sure the fuel is extra combustible and that the rhetoric reaches it.

I'm constantly amazed at how perspectives can be so different.
It's like the whole "The Boys" discussion that we had. There were some who watched and never realized what was so incredibly obvious to others. Some things are impossible to see from the inside.

I suspect that he would probably say the same type things if it were any other Republican besides Trump.
My experience with democrats is that they usually call any Republican a fascist (even including Romney and McCain)

But he didn't... he didn't even vote for Romney which was no different than his murder he voted for. Its mental illness.

He will claim nobody is viable unless he votes for who they tell him, even if it includes treasonous people or murderers. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Well you would be wrong. I knew this would be the angle that trump supporters would take because there is really no other angle to take. That is why I said from the very beginning in 2016, when the beginning's of the trump catastrophe brought me to the PF, that the worst thing possible would be to normalize trump.
trump is not normal, trumpism has never been normal, ..... that's a critical point.
