2024 Presidential Race

You get the added benefit of making jokes about gays and women and then saying, "It's OK, I voted for a gay/woman for POTUS"

Dude! That is genius!

I don't know why I hadn't thought of that after all the jokes I made after voting that ole' what's-his-name?

You know, the black guy. Him.

Now I get to add gays to the list! Win, Win!

I can't claim to be the genius...it's just a regurgitated joke from Seinfeld.

this will by my 4th election straight where I choose the Libertarian candidate. McCain was the last mainstream candidate I voted for.
At least they've moved on from Gary Johnson. That dude is a f'n idiot. I always got a kick out of libertarians complaining about the two major parties while throwing up major garbage themselves. lol

If "science" were aimed at finding the truth rather than affirming pre-conceived notions all the time...

There's a massive crisis in academia that's been noticably building for the last decade. Things like food science, psychology, and sociology especially are churning out study after study that are "peer reviewed" but can never be replicated. It's not science. It's elitists patting each other on the back and forcing whatever crap they want out.

Exactly. See: "Climate Change", Covid19 and face diapers, etc etc. Its endless. Strangely almost always paid for by Leftists too...

I am in a battleground state and it makes it all the more gratifying to go 3rd party. **** these parties. Sorry, Eugene, the 80-year-old man who called me and asked if I would vote for Kamala. I'm tired of my tax dollars making orphans in Gaza.
I would feel the same if it were DeSantis or Ramaswamey, or any other crappy Republican candidate. I wouldn’t vote for them, but I wouldn’t vote for Harris even in a swing state.

Pre-2021, I wouldn’t feel this strongly about Trump. I think there’s a post somewhere on here from 2020 where I said I disliked Harris’s policies so much that I would vote for him over her. My feelings about Trump are the only thing that has changed.

Neither one is going to slow the money printing. I think Harris would spend more if she has a friendly congress but both will ultimately increase spending.

Elon Musk (and Trump) have publicly and repeatedly stated that Elon believes he can CUT $2Trillion annually from current government spending at a minimum as part of Trumps administration. The same guy that fired 80% of Twitter employees, optimized and restaffed to his liking, and now has them profitable despite the HUGE liberal coalition of corporations which account for more than half of total advertising dollars in the US REFUSING to advertise on Musks platform.

For the 1st time in my lifetime, i believe we can actually reduce spending. Musk is the smartest businessman, and most successful person in my lifetime. He is the only "Henry Ford" of the last 50 plus years. He is exactly the person I want trying to cut costs and streamline our bloated federal government.

Musk didn't have to fight generational bureaucracy at Twitter, a bureaucracy that knows the game 1000x better than he does.

I take in kids all the time. We have had up to three foster kids at a time(most we are allowed). We are wanting to adopt the one that we have had for over a year. His mom is trying to get clean and get him back. It will be devastating if he has to leave our family.

Much respect.

My parents were foster parents, had 37 children over 15 years. Usually 3 at a time, and "special needs". Both of my little sisters (now grown) were foster kids that my parents adopted as toddlers. 1 of them was born addicted to drugs and the other was born HIV positive (and still is) They are wonderful girls and I adore them both. Much much respect to the foster parents out there doing things right. It is a thankless job, and the money barely covers taking care of and providing for the kids...but the real reward is knowing that you're helping kids who deserve better. The 1st little girl that my parents adopted died from cancer. It really scarred my mom especially. I know first hand how challenging it can be sometimes. Lots of sleeping in hospitals, travelling for treatment etc. God bless you and your family for what yall do. May He give you all strength, peace, health and happiness.

Wrong again. No I didn't, and yes I did get more than your reply.

You are not understanding what I'm trying to say. I would morally put guys like Bill Clinton and Donald Trump on somewhat equal ground. The Christian right didn't like Clinton for his politics, and his moral behavior. They were never going to support him, but they wasted no energy blasting him for both. There was never any kind of biblical perspective to his moral failings that I remember. However, the right seems all too eager to do that with Trump now. So we can stop with the religious silliness and just admit this is about politics, and always has been. It could be Satan himself running against Harris and she still wouldn't get your vote. The religious angle here when we are talking about Trump is hypocrisy with wings. This has nothing to do with hating religion, its calling out blatant hypocrisy for what it is.

Personally, I couldn't care less who Trump slept with, what he said/did, what God he believes in and any other of these imaginary crimes. I just think he's an unstable ***hole, and I think Harris has bad policies. Anyone that considers a third party vote a throw away vote is part of the problem and contributes to why we get candidates like this IMO. And I'm not trying to convince anybody of anything, I just asked a question and you came back with absolute nonsense.

I guess I didn't realize you were a leftist. Reading through your post it appears obvious now.

My apologies I thought you were both a conservative and a never Trumper. If you don't believe in his policies in the first place this conversation is null and void.

I suspect you aren't as deep as you think you are trying to draw me into a debate about Clinton. A younger me actually voted for Clinton because of the policies at the time I agreed with.

Most never Trumpers issue with Trump is his personality. The pastor delivering the message was speaking to his congregation about deeds over personality. There are many parables in the bible about the righteous and unrighteous that fulfilled right and wrong deeds based that was asked. I suspect you won't find a lot of folks who think Trump goes about it as a professional. However the so called professionals are snakes they just use trickery.

I would've never responded if I didn't know you weren't conservative otherwise your post sounds like Liz Cheney just without going batsheet crazy and voting for Harris.
