Nope, I hate them but term limits will solve nothing. The answer is to make the job less appealing.

1. Cut the days congress is allowed to be in session to between 90 and 100 days.
2. Cut the pay accordingly
3. No pension or HC benefits
4. Build a dorm and cafeteria where they can live and eat while in DC. No per diem.
5. Disperse all of the HQs for every federal agency around the country, get them out of DC.
6. Subject congress to the same exact laws the population is subject to, mainly the same insider trading laws.

I agree with some of this, but the biggest problem with state and federal legislatures is that they are all too concerned with reelection to be free-thinkers. None of what you suggest will change that or encourage them to lean away from lobbyists, in fact probably the opposite. The next biggest problem is that Congress makes the laws for… Congress.

The lobbies will more than make up for any of that. The dorms and cafeteria would be a ghost town. If you want to fix it, zero lobby money. Prison time for violation.

If Trump wins Pennsylvania, Arizona, and Nevada, that will still give him 271 electoral votes, even without North Carolina, Michigan, or Wisconsin; but regardless, his path becomes substantially narrower if he loses NC.
