I am a Christian (and a dirty sinner) my family and I don't want Christian values taught in public school unless it is in an optional elective class that is chosen. You cannot legislate nor force someone into morality or your religion. This country was also founded on the principle that folks have the right to practice ANY religion so long as it doesnt harm other people etc.
Conversely....all this LGBTQ trans bullcrap nor ANY OTHER TYPE of sexuality has place in schools. None. Nor has the liberal indoctrination that currently takes place at many public schools and land grant universities. Thats complete BS too...
The REAL question we should be asking is : Should there be a D.O.E., and should there be public schools at all? IF at all we should have federally funded public schools, I believe they should ALL be Charter Schools where each student gets a voucher, and the tax $$$ for that childs education goes to the school where the parents CHOOSE for their child to go. Funding tied to STUDENTS. NOT to giant bureaucracies with endless amounts of administrative jobs that do nothing at all .
Fwiw...both of my kids have gone to Christian school. I have spent over $200,000 on their educations there. As a blue collar guy who has never once owned a brand new car or truck. We are far from wealthy, by material or worldly standards. I am super rich though...because we have raised 2 outstanding Christian young people that are the joy in my heart and life. Best money we have ever spent, on anything.
