2024 Presidential Race

So as usual the mentally weak and soft progressive liberals are melting down in epic fashion. But I a genuinely curious. I have see videos of people saying they are afraid for their lives? That they may wake up and have no rights? And that we are now under a dictatorship?

Serious question. What is fueling these incredibly false and ignorant takes? I mean do these people even know what a true dictator is? And scared for their lives??? Why? This is why so many people make fun of liberals. When Biden won, the Trump supporters got pissed and went to work. Kamala loses and her cult members take to social media and cry like little ignorant spoiled children.
I've wondered the same. I was in Market Square in Knoxville back in August, and a bunch of white old women Harris voters showed up and pitched tents. One woman's shirt said "Vote like your life depended on it, because it does" and I'm asking myself why would anyone really think that? Are they afraid of being put onto a train going to an internment camp or something? It was ridiculous.

My son had some interesting commentary about his Politics in hyper partisan times seminar at Chapel Hill.

He is pretty liberal, and not a Trump fan. Despite being a Democrat, he couldn’t bring himself to vote for Harris. He kept telling his classmates they were ignoring the economic hurt of normal Americans because they had never had to make a decision on where to find money to pay for a necessity.

Said his classmates thought he was a lunatic when he said Trump would win because of the economy.

They obviously didn’t think a black kid from rural NC had any clue about the American electorate.
Not sure where you all are from, but it’s Funny you mention that, bc Trump won Anson County, NC. A rural county near Charlotte, that is primarily African American. First time a republican had won since 1972.

Fueled in large part by echo chambers on Reddit created by someone posting:
a lefty talking point about project 2025 being the Trump agenda;
clips from media and dems calling the right all the fear mongering ~ist and ~phobe names they can think of;
💩 stirring mega trolls posting any of the above and fanning it into world burning flames.

Young liberal’s mental illness/brainwashing is a reality the country is eventually going to have to address in some way.

This was just lawfare. Now, using the excuse they can't charge a president, they are dropping it.

AKA, "We're dropping it in hopes President Trump won't prosecute us."

It's why the felon rhetoric is so stupid. It was nothing more than persecution of a political opponent. People should actually be terrified the Dimwits tried it. That's crap that happens in 3rd world countries.

That's what the leftist media has spewed since 2016. They aren't smart enough to think for themselves, they just do what the elite tell them.

I’ve come to the conclusion that there have been generally 3 types of Trump voters:

1. Traditional Republicans/conservatives that refuse to abandon their ideals, so they just swallow the bitter Trump pill

2. Far right and evangelical voters who are using Trump as their vehicle to pass extreme right laws and set extreme right court precedents in the name of their religious and/or far right beliefs.

3. Societal outcasts who feel a sense of belonging in the Trump social circles. It’s nothing substantive in their core beliefs that drives them, but the spectacle, the fandom, and the camaraderie.

But now, I think a significant (enough) 4th type has brought this one home for Donny and company….

4. Male Hispanic voters who would rather vote for someone that scapegoats them than a woman.

Someone has been listening to the XM progress channel again.

I live motorcycle riding distance from Anson, and worked there off and on for a number of years. It is the only county in NC lost population between 1900 and 2000.

Heck, Wal-Mart shut down a new superstore there because employees were walking out the doors with so much merch.

If it weren’t for the prison, there‘s be no kids, which makes jobs for teachers.

Prison guards, teachers, social workers and LEO. That’s largely it.

The fact that this county went for Trump is stunning. Especially with a b/f running. In a county that is 50% black, Anson turning MAGA should cause a lot of democratic reflection.

Vapid programming like The View and others have been parroting this. Politicians on the left have said this publicly, with a straight face and no one challenges them. It's why no one trusts media, everyone retreats into their echo chambers to be told what their opinions should be.

I blame much of this on the society we built. You are taught to avoid challenging people, so points are valid and must be respected and not to take into account the merit. "It's their truth".

I’m technically in Group 3, a societal outcast looking for a circle who will take me in. Here’s where things get tricky though. I identify as a Group 4 male Hispanic. A bad hombre to be exact.

It's funny that Scarborough was much better spirits than his colleagues this morning. I heard on this forum they were melting down so I turned it to the channel and watched for a little while. If anyone shouldn't give a shat, it's Mika. Bad look to seem so defeated. Her facial and body language was pathetic for a so-called professional journalist
I tuned into him as well. I found him professional. Not sure who she is though. They were definitely bummed.

I was in the minority by always seeing Trump winning this election, but I have to admit that I did not see this kind of an asskicking happening. I thought he’d fall short in Michigan and possibly Georgia and also come up a bit short in the popular vote. The Trump campaign just kicked ass major league style.
