My county went 80-18 in favor of Trump this go-around after being 78-21 in 2020. Just for reference, Al Gore won this county 24 years ago and Obama got nearly 40% of its vote in ‘08.
Democrats are past the point of no return in stopping the bleeding. At the national level, they have painted themselves into a position where they are absolutely cooked without massively running up the score in the cities. Identity politics don’t seem to be a winning message in the suburbs, at least not when inflation is high.
In 2024 I was told there would never be another election. That was new.In 2004 I was told Dems would never win another national election
In 2008 I was told Republicans would never win another national election
In 2016 I was told Dems would never win another national election
In 2020 I was told Republicans would never win another national election
In 2024 here you are
Stop. The middle 10% in a few states decide these things. Dems when hold all three branches again at some point in the next 16 years. History says so. Actually history would suggest in the next 6 it will happen
He’s spot on.
@BowlBrother85 - Watch that ^. He nails the Democrats self-immolation at the altar of identity politics.
And others would say the Documents case was the best.I agree with it except for his contention that the Georgia case was the legit one. Seems the J6 one had the most underlying legitimacy. The Georgia one is a joke.
And others would say the Documents case was the best.
I think his larger point, that the totality of the action from the Democrat apparatus (the party in power) illuminated for many what appeared to be a concerted effort to take out their chief political rival, was spot on.
Absolutely.oh I agree - just found that particular example as weird given he called out the Bragg case. Both were locals trying to make a name.

..... and it's quite amusing that you think Republicans, in the age of Trump, have the high ground on this subject.
I don't think you have an understanding of what identity politics is .... if you don't think Trump is guilty of it.I realize you think it’s the same (it’s not).
Did you watch the 4 min video?

She won't come backSo @evillawyer hasn't posted since Tuesday a little after 5:00pm on Tuesday. Must be taking it pretty hard.
I realize that Trump engages in rhetoric that you want to draw an equivalency too.I don't think you have an understanding of what identity politics is .... if you don't think Trump is guilty of it.
Trump's Embrace of Identity Politics — FOREIGN AFFAIRS REVIEW
In his speech at the 2004 Democratic National Convention, former President Obama, then a state senator, declared that ‘There is not a black America and white America and Latino America and Asian America; there is the United States of America’. Obama was attempting to create a unifying messagewww.foreignaffairsreview.com
