A hoax caller claimed to have shot his girlfriend and threatened to harm himself at the home of presidential hopeful Nikki Haley in a terrifying 'swatting' incident.

Authorities descended on the the former UN ambassador's South Carolina home last month, before realizing the emergency was fake.

The hoax against Haley, who is challenging frontrunner Trump for the Republican presidential nomination, occurred on December 30 in the town of Kiawah Island, an affluent, gated community of around 2,000 people.

An unknown person called 911 and 'claimed to have shot his girlfriend and threatened to harm himself while at the residence of Nikki Haley,' Craig Harris, Kiawah Island director of public safety, told town officials.

'It was determined to be a hoax. Nikki Haley is not on the island and her son is with her.'

For all of the "Trump is my boy, the world is stacked against him" knuckle draggers out there, please explain to me why nearly everyone who worked with him in the prior administration thinks he's an atrociously bad leader and dangerous for America? Are they all in on some massive conspiracy to "get Trump"? Wouldn't the simpler explanation just be that maybe, just maybe, they're telling the truth?

The national polls are always meaningless. The election will be decided in the 6 swing states. Georgia, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, Arizona and Nevada. Trump leads significantly in 4 and Biden leads Pennsylvania. Wisconsin is a tie just like every election. If the economy miraculously turns around and prices dramatically drop then Biden could win. More likely, the Dems replace Biden before the election because of the poor numbers. The problem with the Dems strategy so far is that voters still have to pay for gas, rent/house payments, food and everything else so telling them everything is great is not working out for them. Plus the 2 wars going on under Joe's watch.
