2024 Presidential Race

You are doing some historical revisionism here which is more consistent with a member of the MAGA crowd, rather than someone who is taking a rational approach, instead of allowing themselves to be guided by partisan emotions. Trump's messaging during COVID was all over the place. He adjusted his tone as his re-election calculations shifted. It was poor leadership in a time of genuine crisis. The whole point of his first term was to win a 2nd term. His actions were indicative of this all the time.

At times, his rhetoric was indeed, dictatorial in nature.

^^^^ Such as when he falsely claimed that he could override a governor's decision concerning a shutdown.
What actions did he take that expanded Executive power during Covid? What actions did he take that prevented a governor from doing as they saw fit? Actions.

You are giving him a pass because his false assertion was not actionable. Thankfully, there are Constitutional safeguards in place to prevent such executive overreach. I see the same defense used for Trump's alternate elector scheme. It didn't work, so that makes it okay (in the minds of Trump's apologists). It's the no harm; no foul rationale. I don't see it that way.

Also, even though his party had control of both chambers of Congress during his first two years in office, Trump signed 220 executive orders during his one term. That's a lot. By comparison, Biden has signed 130 in 3 years. Barack Obama was often called a wannabe dictator for his high number of EO's. However, Obama signed 279 during his 8 years - well below Trump's annual pace.

You should read your citations.
From your link:
[Trump speaking]. “I like to allow governors to make decisions without overruling them, because from a constitutional standpoint, that’s the way it should be done,” he said. “If I disagreed, I would overrule a governor, and I have that right to do it. But I’d rather have them — you can call it ‘federalist,’ you can call it ‘the Constitution,’ but I call it ‘the Constitution’ — I would rather have them make their decisions.”

But pressed on what grounds he would have to reopen the country given his own refusal to impose a nationwide stay-at-home order, Trump was less deferential. “The states can do things if they want. I can override it if I want,” he said.

What a dictator wannabe.

The gangster has many times said that he thinks a president should be able to do what he wants without interference from anybody or any institution. He's crazy, of course. This was his lame insurrectionist trial defense--which was just rejected by an appeals court. He's a lame, corrupt, imbecilic strongman wannabe who doesn't even respect our democratic institutions or heritage, doesn't respect our laws, doesn't respect our allies. The man is vile and dangerous and belongs in prison. But the rednecks like him because he hates immigrants, as they do. Narrow-minded bigots....aka rednecks.

Democrats would stick with Kamala Harris while independents like Michelle Obama if Joe Biden were to drop out of the 2024 race

J.L. Partners asked 1000 likely voters who they would like to see take up the Republican nomination if Trump quit. Republicans said Ron DeSantis, Independents went for Nikki Haley

What a dictator wannabe.
A case can be made for that.

Trump governed by way of executive orders, independent of Congress.

Trump also pressured his Vice President into not including electoral college votes from some states which they had lost, during the formal process of certification. He showed a complete lack of respect for democracy.

Trump is such a bad man that there are millions who go out to his rally's bc he's so much of a better promise/choice than what's in the Oval Office now. Biden has made the USA a laughingstock to the world. The policies he's put in place have put us in a downward tailspin that will be decades B4 all is restored.

By no means am I giving Joe Biden any credit for this, but the American economy is expanding. The level of US Real GDP in 2023 even exceeded the pre-pandemic forecasts of the Congressional Budget Office and the International Monetary Fund. Inflation is nearing the moderate level of 2% (It's at 3.4%). The country is near full employment. Per the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the unemployment rate is currently 3.7%.

All laughingstocks should have it this good. Where it matters the most (the economy) the nation is doing just fine.

Biden has issued more EOs than Trump.

Decreased purchasing power is eating people's lunch. Wages are increasing but it is lagging.

By all means keep carrying Creepy Joe's water. Does he pay you by mail each week?
I'm sure your arms must be hurting so much these days by carrying tons & tons of it.
Creepy Joe needs all the help he can get these days w/each bad report after bad report that keeps coming down the pike. I'd be so ashamed of myself if I was carrying tons of excuses for any filthy democrat the way they've governed this country the last 3 & a half years.

You'd think his approval rating would be better. Oh wait. It's the fact that $100 when Biden was elected is now worth $85. Not entirely his fault. But he will be blamed. And his inability to own his role in it is a problem

Per my bill at the grocery store, the hardware store, my contractor, and restaurants, you're oblivious or drunk.

The gangster showing his true massive a$$hole plus clueless idiot sides tonight: He mocks Haley because her husband isn't
with her in South Carolina. Her husband is deployed in Africa with the Army National Guard.

Where's trump's mail-order bride? Nowhere to be seen...at all. Like everybody who knows him, she hates the man.

LOL .....

I see, you are giving more weight to your own personal anecdotal evidence, than you are to data in a report from the United States Treasury. That makes yourself insular and out-of-touch with the rest of the country, outside of your own narrow orbit.
