I remember when other presidents had codes. Codes in branding, imagery, oft recited phrases.

Issue with it, is only an extreme minority of people could see the code and they tried to decipher it for the unenlightened.

The only "code" I can find in marketing a political candidate is this: they find something vague enough so everyone sees what they want in it while offering zero specifics.

What you said is factual, if for no other reason than, humans gonna human. Just the same, having read, listened, watched public behavior, and again, read the MAGA GOP's openly admitted plans short term if Trump wins, and long term if he doesn't, their message is obviously Hitlerian. When Hillary first made the claim that MAGA really meant make America White again, I rejected it. Because, at the time, I figured having a businessman as President was to the best benefit of the country. Sadly, the more orange ogre opened his mouth, the farther I drafted from him. And the behavior and words of his supporters kept pushing me irretrievably away.

The MAGA code is indeed what I said it is. That doesn't deny your claim. But what we're seeing, I've seen it before, mostly, in local politics, but also in the George Wallace era. The playing to inherent racism in the USA by GHW Bush, and Ronald Reagan. With MAGA, the difference is how it is both Congressional, at the state, county, municipal, and judicial levels. And unapologetically overt. I know what I'm seeing, no sugarcoating can hide it.

Thank you Cobbie. Speaking for myself, I have no confusion as to what side I'm on. I was always a contrary person, even as a child. Which got my rear whipped rather often. My problem was/is, telling me something isn't a good way to get my cooperation. I have to see why I should do it, otherwise I won't, or end up doing the exact opposite. Despite the butt whooping. I often enough experience the same ones yelling at me, that I was right after all. Of course, this meant I became an independent voter. Someone who makes his own decisions rather than being led about by a nose ring as a party faithful. Taking the time to actually study issues, watching carefully what candidates say to specific groups they speak to. Which taught me to trust no politician, cause they will say anything, tolerate kissing babies of folks they don't really like, just do anything for your vote and money. Then break promises after being elected. Basically, I refuse to be part of a herd of sheeple.

Same page, perhaps many of us are, but we have a faction of people who are nothing more than neo-Nazis in terms of attitudes and behavior. They hibernated for a while, but are now out in the open, and in force. I dare say, we ain't seen nothing yet. If we don't stop, the Chinese, Russians, and others who have a beef with the USA will just walk in and pick up the pieces of what's left from our self-destruction.

Which helps me in the future when I retire (assuming it doesn’t lose some of that value by then). It does absolutely nothing to help pay my bills or buy ever more expensive groceries today.
Inflation is a cruel “tax” on the lower and middle classes. It is a punch in the gut every single time I go to the grocery store, buy gas, or take my family out to dinner.
Americans need relief TODAY. Not a decade or two down the road.

My wages have increased, true; but not anywhere NEAR the rate of inflation, especially key cost of living index.
And I can’t even IMAGINE what this must be like for people on a fixed income.
The truth is, richer people who live off investments are doing fantastic. The vast majority of Americans who live off a wage are hurting BADLY.

Though they've scheduled two debates, if the dems feel like Joe gained significant ground I think they will cancel the 2nd one as well.

If Trump is controlled during this debate, then he could win in a landslide. I think it's ridiculous there is no crowd which the dems think favor Joe because CNN could cut mic's which would hide the mumbling from Joe that won't be picked up because there is no audience.

Well, inflation is part of the reason but it’s not the only reason. I work in commercial insurance and it has been a rate increase environment for 5 or so years.
