2024 Presidential Race

8,000 blacks at a black church? More like 400 whites in a black church.....

Wait: I said 400 whites. It's more like 250 white people and 10 blacks in a black church. Conway was
a bit off with her Trumpian BS. There was hardly anyone there...

It's like claiming Desantis removed hundreds of millions of dollars from Florida waste water budget. Congrats. You and Kellyanne have tons in common. In fact, that's how I will refer to you from now on. Carry on Mrs.Conway.

The pandemic had nothing to do with it. Interruptions in industry, manufacturing, and logistics on a global scale have nothing to do with it. Republican tax and appropriations bills have nothing to do with it. Trump’s checks to everyone have nothing to do with it. Inflation happened because Americans made the mistake of allowing Biden and the Democrats to steal the 2020 election.

Hey, you seem like a sharp guy. Let me bring you in on a real estate development deal on the 38th parallel. Can’t miss! Gonna make millionaires!

It seems like most the Supreme Court is fairly young. The only one that maybe up to retire is Clarence Thomas. Not sure where the fear about appointing Supreme Court justices is coming up. The liberal side is definitely young and will stay pat.

Oh....Stick around Cobb. He's/she's a real gem in the political forums. Was surprised to see them in the baseball forum.

I've been in the sports forums for years--long before politics. I have associations (I'll keep it vague) with Tennessee sports.

It's all fun and games, even when I'm serious. This did make me chuckle
Yep. It’s all in fun. We’re all Vols fans so we at least have something in common even if we don’t all agree on politics. And so what if we don’t? In general, a team made up of people who all think alike will be weaker than a team that compliments each other.

Wow. Just. WOW

Ha, ha: it's clear that "blacks for the gangster" is nothing more than a disinformation campaign. There were almost no blacks at the black church in Detroit: the place had about 100 whites and that was it. The same two/three black women that trump supposedly met spontaneously at some location have been revealed as plants as they've been traveling around with the campaign for 2 weeks. Most everything with the Trump campaign is lies
and bull$hit. Trump just lies blatantly about everything. The man is so desperate he tried to claim credit for lowering the price of insulin when that happened in 2022 under Biden.

Kellyanne, According to pew 18% of AA voters lean Trump or are solid Trump. That's a significant increase vs 2020.

I know you won't read this but....

"Both President Biden and former President Trump love to claim credit for getting more Americans $35 insulin.
But the credit should actually go to a giant pharmaceutical company — just the type that both men claim to have challenged."

"For two years prior to its 2019 proposal, Eli Lilly had been experimenting with offering different amounts of assistance to patients to help them buy insulin, Ricks said. At around $35 per month, patients would pay the required amount, and would stay on their medication. If the costs went much higher, patients would start abandoning their prescriptions."

"UnitedHealth Group joined Eli Lilly in proposing the Medicare pilot project that allowed drugmakers and plans to voluntarily offer at least one insulin at $35 per month. In January 2020, Ricks said he met with Verma, and the two, who both have deep roots in Indiana, shook hands on the idea."

" “I know the two political parties don’t like to give credit to anyone on the other side. But the reality is, this is like a great example of how government should work,” Ricks said."

"While both administrations advanced policies to make insulin more affordable, the candidates don’t often mention that copay caps are generally favored by pharmaceutical companies — and this cap was literally proposed by one."

"The Trump administration’s demonstration marked an early appearance of the $35 monthly amount for insulin copays. States had just started capping insulin costs through their state benefit plans when the Medicare pilot project was announced in March 2020. Colorado and Illinois had set their caps at $100 per month, and New Mexico set its cap at $25 per month."

"Under the Biden administration, the policy got bigger and more permanent when Democrats in Congress codified a $35 per month insulin copay cap for Medicare patients as part of the Inflation Reduction Act passed in 2022."

"Wendell Primus, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s top health care policy aide and currently a visiting fellow at the Brookings Institution, said House Democrats didn’t initially support the policy because it singled out a specific disease area. But the idea was politically popular, so the policy advanced. Ultimately, he said the $35 per month copay was chosen because it was around the average out-of-pocket cost for diabetes drugs at the time, and it didn’t cost the government much money.

"But another congressional Democrat involved in drafting the legislation said the amount explicitly mirrored the Trump-era pilot project."

🤷‍♂️
