With Awaka back we would have 4 spots availableFirst domino, boom! Like bTo said we got 5 spots even with Awaka returning... use 'em up. If Dubar wants to be here and understands he'll have to work his tail off to get minutes and he still wants to do it, I'm excited for him to be a Vol.
Yessir! My opinion I think three of them will be: a SG, a Stretch big, a project incoming freshman big like the Tamba guy , and other side I think the other one will be determined by Awaka returning or not... I still think Awaka will be a Vol. This will be a great year Go VOLSWasn't counting Dubar... but it's now 4 with him committing.
Yep. Dubar was shorter than advertised, had a low release point that wouldn't translate so well in this league(IIRC) and didn't have a committable offer yesterday. Now he's on board. So I guess that means Tyson is gone? What role does Dubar fill? Is he a shorter JJJ? Does he replace Knecht as a 3? Do we see him at the 2? Lanier gone, too? Not sure how to take this one. This old head is spinning.Tyson is beginning to sound like Holman in baseball. He was ours but LSU got the last visit and then he wasn't ours.
BS
They must feel good about JP to not go after any top CentersWith the 4 remaining I'd say we'll be looking for a wing who can shoot (Tyson is the #1 there) and then a stretch 4 that can play the 5 (Igor high on the list and visiting tomorrow) and then I'd say with the other 2 spots they'd like to add a backup PG option (Lanier/Gayle) and then maybe a big, might not be a transfer but a late '24 addition.

Lanier/Gayle are Vescovi replacement type players... They are true shooting guards... Not saying they can't help handle the rock, but they are true 2's... Malik Mack is a true point guard type ... But yeah I could see this happening. That incoming freshman Gabriel Mabor guy seems like a get for the VOLSWith the 4 remaining I'd say we'll be looking for a wing who can shoot (Tyson is the #1 there) and then a stretch 4 that can play the 5 (Igor high on the list and visiting tomorrow) and then I'd say with the other 2 spots they'd like to add a backup PG option (Lanier/Gayle) and then maybe a big, might not be a transfer but a late '24 addition.
We reached out to Rutgers big Cliff Omoruyi, Somto Cyril, JCJ from MTSU, and Igor Milicic Jr from Charlotte... That's 4 bigs for sure that we've contacted. They must feel good about JP to not go after any top Centers
Both of those are true statements, according to multiple sources on VN and outside of VN. No need to come in here taking shots at guys who have brought us good info for years over a transfer outcome changing over the course of a few hours. The info was right, it just changes on a dime in recruiting. So much for the insiders here
“He came in ready to commit but measured under sized and left without a commitable offer.”
GTHO

JP Estrella will prolly follow suit his soph season with minutes similar to Awaka & Aidoo soph mins anywhere between (13-18 mpg)
