Obviously Awaka is great on the boards and rapidly improving around the basket on both ends, but this is where I think we will miss him the most. Even if he’s not the most vocal, he leads by the way he plays more than anyone else we’ve had since Pons (most recent that comes to mind as a more timid guy that turns into a beast on the court). I want him back just to have his presence around the team every day. Just look at how we responded post-Awaka v Bradshaw in Lexington to get a great example of this.

The entire outcome in the UNC was based on UNC being UNC. They recently hit us with violating rules that weren't even in existence at the time, and in a small closed backroom session voted that their new policy was that "programs" (meaning only us) are, beginning now (after the alleged incident), guilty until proven innocent. They are lawless and corrupt and do whatever they want. In the UNC case, they were looking for an excuse to protect a pet. The particular excuse didn't really matter becasue they are unprincipled, so long as they arrived the outcome they predetermined. Compare the Kansas basketball case. Look at the Michigan football case this week.

The NCAA has no oversight on classes at universities there is an actual committee for that that judges universities I forgot their name and I don’t care to do the research but the AD for UNC was very savy throughout the process and did not give in to the NCAA investigation back then and found a way out…

This is why it’s important to have a good AD like we have in Danny White

Yeah I'm really intrigued who Barnes was referencing there. One of his "former players" reaching out to him to say a guy who just went in the portal is interested in playing for UT could be any number of dudes. Wondering which former Vol (or maybe former Longhorn?) would be connected to anyone in the portal.

They used a loophole to get around punishment. They cheated and everyone knows it including them. They just have to maintain that facade of academic superiority and there is nothing else to say about it. The platform they are standing on is made of jello.

Loophole or not having fake classes that every student at the university can attend is not some advantage and I wouldn’t call it cheating considering it’s not some athletic advantage…I took a lot of dumb easy classes in college because you have to as part of your undergrad.

Also screw the corrupt ncaa, ppl like Will Wade should be banned from coaching again. That is a true verified cheater…
