I'm so happy that it looks like things are looking up on Good Ol'' Rocky Top. We as a fanship seem for the most part to have gotten over the initial concerns about the new coach. Now it seems like most people are pretty excited about the staffers Caldwell has hired. And now we've got some visits upcoming -- and quite possibly one early commit already! -- from some impressive players out of the portal.

And we're not even two weeks into the new era. If there are actually people out there still unhappy and grumbling about Lady Vol basketball's future, then there's no hope for them. They've obviously somewhere along the way lost the ability to understand what being a fan is all about, and that really is sad 'cause these are exciting times and we should ALL be having fun with this! 🙌🏻🤗🙌🏻🤗🔥🔥🔥👀
Reports of the demise of LVBB have been greatly exaggerated

Every year I want us to win the Championship, but at the beginning of the season I evaluate the roster and form my own opinion on how talented we are and if I think we have a realistic chance at a ring. I absolutely hate losing and that’s if I’m playing or rooting for a team, that’s just how I’ve always been and won’t change.

She is more a PF. She doesn’t shoot a lot of 3s but from what I have seen the potential is there to improve: she is very athletic and goes hard to the boards.
Last season, Nye shot 108-259 from 3 (41%).

By comparison Jewel was 144 for 336 (43%), Sara was 63 for 165 (38%), Tess was 60 for 181 (33%).

Nye would have been the LVs #2 three point sharp shooter.

I was one of the fans that had issues with her hiring, simply because she didn’t have P5 experience so I was concerned about coaching in big leagues and recruiting.

She hired experienced SEC coaches, which is a plus.

She’s getting transfers on campus which is also good. Now she has to build relationships with high schoolers.

I’m still holding out until I see the product on the floor next year but I am feeling better.
Just a quick check on the site for NCAA WBB stats shows two things Marshall excelled at: 85.3 ppg #4/349 and 24.21 TO's forced/game #2/349

Maybe a few things to watch next year, Marshall was #345/349 in fouls committed per game at 21.4. They were also #318/349 in scoring defense at 71.8 per game. Some of that probably caused by being #339/349 in OPP FG% allowed at 45.0%.

Marshall as a team shot 42.5% FG and 33.2% 3PT last season, about the same as UT. Marshall had 16.3 TO's per game compared to UT at 15.0. Not big differences in either category.

She probably is, I haven’t watch her yet. If she comes here I’ll check her out. What position does she play?
Reposting for those who may have missed it yesterday. She's got the athleticism (hello, alley-oop), silky smooth shooting from mid-range and can drain a three. Would love to get Latham!

I think the post you quoted was talking about Latham. We actually have more than one prospect so we can confuse them! Progress,

Nye is an excellent 3 pt shooter so Latham, who's more of an inside and mid range type scorer would be a great compliment.

Yes, Latham moves very well too. Could see her being able to guard multiple positions with her length, if necessary

Really good basketball player with athleticism. I am impressed with how she has both pure basketball talent blended with athleticism. Not even sure if she signs here or not but it’s ironic to see some of the assessments about getting young talent and then read a post(s) trying to completely diminish an outstanding young player as a reserve that is visiting as we speak.

And her defense! I didn't even mention it, but you can see from the highlight reel that she is taking charge of the paint. Blocks, rebounds and second attempts. I like her intensity too, rah-rahing after big plays.
And like you say, young talent. She would just be a sophomore! Let's go!

Including points scored would be helpful. 50% of 100 shots made = 150 points.
50% of 300 shots made = 450 points. Same percentage, big difference in points.
Nye looks like a good add.

Her (Kellie's) biggest downfall in recruiting was she wouldn't do what he has hired her (Kim) and her assistances to do and that is to contact players while they are on other teams and get them to enter the portal or change their commitments out of high school. It was one thing Pat didn't agree with, nor did Holly.

This fanbase to this day is not over Brenda Frese calling Candace during the season and trying to get her to become a Terp, or Geno's antics with the Maya Moore recruiting situation, but now most will be on board with it now that this is what Kim and her staff are being advised to and will do.

That is what the Ballout is alluding to, and one thing Tennessee wouldn't do and that's compromise the integrity of their program or game. Now with integrity for the program no longer mattering, we will likely get recruits to come.

If it works they'll be praised for it, if it doesn't they won't be around to deal with whatever ramifications come from it.

Sometimes you have to get "dirty" I guess, and teams have been doing it to us, so I guess its bout time we "do it to them".
Dumb accusations and slimy insulting fake "moralizing" post is dumb.

Jewel shot 37% from 3 (69 of 185). The #'s you posted were her overall shooting.

Nye was probably the 2nd surest thing for 3 pointers outside of Paopao in the SEC.

Athletic second team All SEC teamer might join our team and this is what you single out.
Not saying that I dislike her. The post was her at the free throw line and I saw the stat. Just surprising that a player of her caliber has a FT percentage that low. And really just my hope that a team playing CKC style of bball, who may be getting to the free throw line a lot, can get everyone in that 80 percentile range. Let's nail the gimmies.

This, all of this. Kellie and Holly trying to hold themselves to that same standard as Pat was never going to work. They liked to say “they would never be Pat” but they were trying to do everything like her. Just couldn’t win the way she did or recruit the way she did because of her ability to coach and win.

Our new staff is doing NOTHING wrong we have just joined the modern world and are doing what everyone else has been doing for a decade now.
Is tampering against the rules or not? I am not sure what the rule is.

If it is, some seem to have the mentality that it's ok to cheat , unless you are the GOAT and you don't have to.

My guess is you have zero proof of any tampering going on. Just innuendo. But, even if it is happening, I have zero problem with it. Yes, Pat lived by a different standard, but she could also afford to do that. She was a GOAT coach and players wanted to play for her. She also didn't have to deal with the NIL era. Tampering is quickly becoming the new norm, and with the NCAA failing to tamp down on it, other schools are going to follow. Hell, Saban tampered with Toot when Pruitt got canned, and Bama didn't seem to have a problem with that. Until the NCAA decides to actually prohibit ALL schools from tampering, it's going to happen. If our roster had better players, I'm sure our girls would have heard from other schools, too, when KJH was fired.
