Would you rather have a seasoned coach that has proven to be a second tier coach or would you want a younger, exciting coach that has dominated at the levels she has coached?

The issue is with the definition of second tier. There are only a few that land in the top tier coach and we were not getting Geno or Dawn or Kim M. But I would have thought we would have had a good chance with the tier of coaches right under them.

I would pose a question for you - Are you okay for Tennessee to be the training ground for younger up and coming coaches? That is what is happening. It is going to be a hit or miss as to whether she is successful. And I know that if she is not successful right out of the gate, she will probably not get a second year.

I would rather have someone that has the potential for greatness which CKC fits or someone that has proven that they are probably not going to be a championship level coach. All championship level coaches started somewhere…. Our AD has had an extremely high hit % of the coaches that he has hired…. I trust his decision making….

I think you’re confusing Evina Westbrook and Diamond Deshields. Diamond never played at UConn. She was NFOY at North Carolina and then transferred to Tennessee.

Gosh, I am truly sad about this! But then, I'm one of those sentimental types who is super into recognizing the quality aspects of Lady Vols off the court maybe even stronger than on.

I am a little surprised because it seemed that Karo would fit nicely in the new system.

It goes to show you can't judge what players are going to do from how they look in social media shoots. Karo gave the appearance of being all in but clearly other factors came into play.

Would not be shocking if she followed Joy.

I must admit she was one I didn’t see fitting her system. Other than 3s she’s not athletic enough.

I'm really back and forth on that, as many seem to be. She's such a good 3 pt shooter. Others seem to think she couldn't get up and down, but I'm not sure about that. She'll never be fast, but I'll bet she'd be in the best shape of her life. I'm not sure every player in the new 'system' are expected to be speed demons.

I bet she goes to Alabama or Auburn to play closer to home. I wish her all the best and so glad she's graduating so she can be an LVFL as she richly deserves to be.

Its a moot issue now but she was mobile enough. She would have likely been the trailing 3 on a fast break. In any event, finding a post (already mission critical) has just gone code red..

Same here. Which surprised me a little since I didn't think she was very happy about the reduced mins late last season. Nothing bad or outwardly mad she did, just seemed like it to me. But def giving Kelly her flowers here.

Anyway, she's a total class act and will be a beloved LVFL always.

That would be a gamble for Strip, I think she’d be smarter to go somewhere where she is guaranteed 20+ minutes a game. She wouldn’t have that guarantee at Indiana*. If she’s going to transfer for her senior season she needs to make it worth it.

She won’t be playing pro ball so she might as well go somewhere that she will see a lot of court time.

Since Strickland has already transferred and is a K-town gal, I think that might give her an incentive to stay but I suppose it all depends on what role CKC envisions for her.

I agree with you on Wells. It would be a challenge for a player to transfer fresh off an ACL.

I’m not certain, they definitely have a longtime bond but I could see Sarah staying. She wants to win and I don’t think she’s naive about the potential for next season.

She also has a mans on campus and those relationships often outweigh friendships lol.

I'm a little worried about that too. And if that happens, poor Kaiya. Karo and Sara are her long time besties and last year JP and Rickea were KW's new besties. Really tough for her if they're all gone.

I really hope Sara stays. I just can't believe every player in the new "system" has to have blazing speed. got to be room for a true 3 pt shooter. IMO Jewel is no faster or quicker than Sara. We need them both, plus Nye. Then I'd feel pretty good about putting up 30 3s a game.

Also, if Sara goes this team is getting really short on leadership. Really glad Tess stayed, that may be her primary role next season.

Yeah I think Strickland would actually have more chance in this system on offense. I'll bet she'd be willing to work her ass off on defense, just not sure she could get there. Could see her getting mins if the subbing is as wholesale as we're hearing. I think she stays.

I do not see how people decide to spend their day making common events so dramatic.

Other fan bases are often worse toward transfers.

The way they posted that lacked tact, but it isn’t untrue. It was inevitable we’d have to turn over some of the current roster to get more quickness and athleticism.

Karo will hopefully be great somewhere else, but she’s made her decision and it’s likely she wasn’t going to be a good fit with the new staff and playing style. Not an aggressive enough rebounder for what CKC is looking for imo.

Speaking of Mimi, I think Kara would do well replacing Mimi in that role at NC State for Wes Moore. He loss both her and River Baldwin so there is a lot of minutes there.

I think Puckett and Hollingshed 100% are staying unless they will graduate this year. Same is true for Wynn. Makes no sense otherwise, unless they are willing to sit out a year.
