I don’t agree with most of these positions he’s listed

Imo it will be more of a “shooter/dribbler” and “rebounder/blocker” set up

Not true position but needs based on what they bring to the game.
It will be 10 players playing from 18 to 23 minutes each. Doubt anyone plays 25 or at least they didn't everywhere else she has been.

No she’s playing the 4 or not playing. I don’t really see her playing much at all anyway she can’t run. Will make a rotation but be at the bottom
She has never played the four not ever in high school or the very little she played at SC.

LBI Thanksgiving Hoopfest-November 2019: Ultra-athletic guard, explosive in transition, attacks the rim in uptempo; quick-leaper, exploits mismatches, rises over the defense; rebounds and runs in transition; drives and finishes at the rim; a coveted prospect in the class of 2022. (Olson)

JLE 160-September 2019: Athletic guard with versatility; superior size creates mismatches, elevates over smaller defenders; manufactures shots, 1 on 1 creator with body control to the rim; emerging offensive threat to the arc; best off the dribble, attacks the rim; defends and disrupts in passing lanes; continues as an elite prospect in the class of 2022. (Olson)

Ohio Midwest Showdown-May 2019: Athletic guard with superior size, wingspan defends, traps in pressure; quick-leaper, active on the glass; elusive off the dribble, mid-range game creator with catch and shoot range at the arc; scores in uptempo game, converts off of pressure defense. (Olson)

LBI Summer Shootout-July 2018: Athletic off-guard with combo-game; flourishes in transition game, handles and attacks the rim, elusive off the bounce; quick-leaper, active on glass; traps, defends and converts plays from turnovers; makes plays in traffic. (Olson)

All the evaluations related to a player that would flourish in transition basketball. Hard to understand why she pick Clemson the first time.
Thinking you mean Whitehorn here, but thrown by (Olson) in parens

PG-Cooper Wells Wynn Boyd
SG-Spear Darby Strickland
C-Spearman Hollingshead
PF-Latham Puckett
WF-Whitehorn

We get Muhammad or another center move Puckett to the three and Hollingshead to the four.
This wIll be a competitive team They will have to play @ least 10 players to do what she wants to do on the court. They will be lean and mean.

That is the problem and why we need more players. She is a 2 or 3 and I guess a three that doesn't help as much there as she can't drive the ball just shoot it and defending a three is just difficult.
So u stick her at the four shove her in the corner and high post to set screens and defend to her size. She CAN play but I think it’s the willingness..

We could really use another post player similar to Spearman and another three point shooter, but this is most of who we will have Whitehorn not even on the team yet.

His comment mentioned speaking to the current players and their desire to compete. Several of those girls don't have 2 or more years left to wait for things to turn around, so DW saying that their goal was to compete next year was more to support the current players than it was to put an unfair lofty goal on the new coach. Interpreting it any other way probably has less to do with what he said and more to do with a dislike of DW and a desire to manufacture things to complain about.
Wow! Talk about interpretation! Why he said it, which I doubt your explanation, means nothing. He said what he said. He owns it and if next year, god forbid, we finish 5th, 6th, 7th in the SEC as a recent post suggested, those missed expectations are all on him.
As far as complaining I’m trying to support our new coach. As a relatively inexperienced coach she’s going to learn some lessons over the next couple of years and we need to show her grace as she grows into the coach who will hopefully return our LVs to prominence. I believe she can do that. DW’s little speech, however, did her no favors.
Now, just to confirm the thing you did get right, I am not a fan of DW. If by my saying this you feel the need to send me gifs of fat, ugly women screeching etc. please don’t bother I already have numerous of those from the ever classy DW boy fan club.

Latham and Puckett are more suited for the four. Darby can't play there not a rebounder can't defend that position. She will play when she plays probably three. I would give her about 10 to 12 at the two even though no position really suits her in this system.

Again tho we have a whole summer and new coach… players will make or break. imo I don’t think CKC will put too much stalk into the 1 years. They are what they are and if they aren’t over performing she’ll probably play the younger girl bc they be gone next year. It really doesn’t matter what anyone has/hasn’t done to this point. I also think we bring in 3 more players at least 2 all multiple years.

And a reliable pg, preferably who can hit 3s also and then it's been a successful portal season.
Yes the point guard could be both or if not two more perimeter players. If she gets two more guards she is recruiting over Darby and Strickland it would seem.

It’s true I think she should have left like Karo tbh. I just reallllly don’t see it in this system. Btw I think Sara can play the 5 in this system. Idk if she gets 10 mins. Unless she plays the 4… she had 9 rebounds at FLST so I could see something like that lol at the 4

One other thing I meant to mention above. I can not stand the “everything school” slogan. We are the University of Tennessee. We do not need slogans that equate us we to bagels with a lot of seeds!

I’d agree if it was Kellie coaching… we won’t know her plans much for any player until we see it in action. I think she’s worried about wells and Kaniya injuries too

Right now she has to be in the rotation and we'll probably see starting a point guard and run Spear and Whitehorn out to the wings. LIke last season she will be winging it either side of the court.

Yep. Which highlights the concern(s) that in doing so you give up a certain amount of rebounding and defense from that spot (compared to a traditional 4) in return for basically one dimension of offense because you would be sacrificing offense in the paint from your 4. It's a lot to give up just to have a viable 3 pt shooter at the 4 spot. I understand the LV offense is going to be sort of positionless going forward, so maybe these traditional ways of looking at positions don't relate here.
