If anybody's watching LSU right now they are seeing the Fla"Jae show
ANd I "stand on this next sentence"...
When I saw FlaJae and Coop's game on the exposure circuit,,,I would have taken either one equally
FJ and TC are of equal potentials, speeds, athleticism's etc

If TC is equal to FJ, we have a winner we just need a few pieces and TK back.

This is true. Typical basketball fans do not realize how one way or the other signing with a college program out of HS impact the success and perception of these recruits. Talaysia Cooper will get her first true chance this upcoming season as a Tennessee Vol. Just like Cam Newton going to Auburn. One season and as a QB this guy dominated the SEC and wins the Heisman Trophy. Coop this season will be outstanding on Rocky Top.

Cam Newton led his Juco team to a championship before coming to Auburn.

Talaysia Cooper started for her high school basketball as a 7th grader. If she was eligible this season the perception would be completely opposite. No miracle is necessary. Talaysia Cooper was rated higher than Flaujae Johnson out of High School. Coop HS and AAU film is elite. Just as Kaniya Boyd Wooten Camp footage where she battled against Milaysia Fulwiley team and was the best defensive player on the court. She locked 4 and 5 star players down. Blocked shots. Got steals. All of these highlights are right there to watch for people that really are trying to get away from the idea that Tennessee lacks elite talent. This roster right now with possibly Jewel Spear, Tamari Key, Sara Puckett, Jillian Hollingshead, Coop, and KB should finish Top 5 in the SEC before the portal additions.

Like I said before I don’t know much about her game and I’ll wait to see before I judge, I’m not concerned about High Scool rankings because players are overrated all the time, I go on my eye test to evaluate myself.

I think you misinterpreted that as me attempting to convince you. I am not. I am referring to actual games I have watched and not speculation. If they are not properly put in a position to use their skill set that does not reflect what either player is capable of. So either way what they are today stands. Elite talents.

You sound suspiciously similar to one of our dear, departed posters. Namely, one who had the initials WC. Old habits are hard to break. So are writing patterns.

Compare the 2 paragraphs below. The first one is post #935 in this thread by House|RockyTop. Which seemed very familiar to me.
The second, which took all of 5 minutes to find, was from WC on 2/16, post #921 of the Tennessee vs South Carolina game thread.

2)You haven’t been their coach so I wouldn’t expect you to or need to get your approval for pegging them in any role. Talaysia Cooper started in HS since the 7th grade. Boyd won multiple state championships and led her team as Defensive Player of the Year in her home state.

What puzzles me is, why the name change ? The content is the same, so other posters will have the same reaction to his posts. Unless, of course, WC was banned for some reason.

I comprehend that you are not making clear sense of the posts. I gave an example of how a coach was fired based on an off based statement you made about a firing team of posters that quoted me, while implying that the AD has not spoke with the coach due to being unable to meet directly. After I have made clear I am neutral. But to say an AD that has built a strong reputation, established clear support from the entire fanbase, and leverage of the program would be restricted in any way they see fit to relieve a coach is just a childish thought.
Transfer? Yeah. Transfer the brain, such as it was, of Sarah Palin, she of Word Salad fame, to the keyboard of Doofus Repititious, a.k.a., WC, mix well. Pour over a bed of stylishly wilted greens. Garnish with a sprig of hemlock.

The dead poets thrash about in agony. The corpulent ballerina trips and stumbles. A bird flies into a mirror.*

*That last one is cribbed directly fromMr. Cummings.

I don’t understand either but I’m glad he’s back, I’m looking forward to the power rankings.

Is this a place to discuss Tennessee basketball or not?

Just because you asked so nicely, dear little Ms. Mockworthy,
You have lost your way, yet again. You are, of course, welcome to mount your trusty
Wombat, and ride off into the portal. Some Div. III discussion board might offer you
admittance. Best of luck.

But you know I’m okay with that. I’d much rather read unbridled optimism than the legions of the miserable hating on our players and coaches. Plus, I am excited about Coop and Nyla!!

We were at odds yesterday. Today, we are both able to get on the same page and support players on this team. I always thought this was what this board was about and this confirms it. I will add this isn’t out of control gloating. This is facts. Every single AAU circuit and event Kaniya Boyd attended she walked away as one of the top performers. Talaysia Cooper will soon have her opportunity to silence her critics.

Looking forward to the yoots myself. I try to steer toward center, myself.

They have gotten overlooked to an extent but the roster that Baylor has built with multiple key pieces through the portal is certainly a winning formula. These players weren’t the biggest names either and had limited consistent team success at their former schools. Tennessee can’t expect to nor need to focus on signing one or two big name players out of the portal. Find good players that can raise their game at Tennessee and will commit to getting back to competing for championships.
