Which film did you look at mike? I took a brief look and honestly I wanted to see the upside but it looked that she struggled getting from end to end. Still does not mean she couldn’t be a key piece to a team.

I'm curious to see how she does for them. She looked pretty good as a freshman, but looked like she regressed badly last season. If she can be a wing or stretch PF (assuming she regains her shooting touch), she could be a great pickup for them. Big if, though....

LSU and that little assistant coach is just begging for attention from the Twitterverse by leaking news to that garbage page. I think it is in response to the news and attention that Jewel Spear received from her announcement to return to Rocky Top. I would not mind at all to see them add this player from Arkansas who is certainly going to jack up shots that means less for FJ, Williams, and Morrow. I laughed everytime I saw them in the Arkansas game play organize basketball like it was a game of 21. AAU really messed up the rankings and recruiting services big time. But as always LSU is going for hype. I think once Reese is gone this style is dead in the waters. Their recruiting class HS/Portal is weak.

Looks like TK and Tess have to announce 2mro if they will use their covid eligibility

Technically this is only to declare for the draft so we may not hear anything

I think there are actually three signees for the upcoming season:
1) Blue, of course.
2) Myah Hazelton - 6'3" Wing/Forward/Center from Baltimore.
And, lest we forget:
Clara Silva - 6'6" Power Forward/Center from Portugal
Would love to have any or all of them.
And Silva supposedly had a great experience in her visit with the
Lady Vols last Spring/Summer?

There has been one portal entry:
Samyha Suffren - 5'8" Freshman Guard from Charlotte. Met her
mother - very sweet lady.

Meanwhile:
Amoore has announced that she will not return ...to Va Tech, but
appears to have left all doors open. Apparently she must meet today's
WNBA deadline, and then decide whether she will enter the portal, then
either follow Coach Brooks to Kentucky, or head elsewhere; or, concentrate
solely on making the Australian Olympic Team.
Or both.
Or all three.

* Last summer, my cousin had a terrible run in with a tree out by the local
highway, which left him in an awful state - broken vertebra, leg/foot bones,
ear/nose skin grafts; screws, rods. and so on. A real mess.
And, he had season tickets to 2023-24 Va Tech Women's Basketball games.
And, so I agreed to drive him to as many games as possible. Five games.
And, all this, not long after the Hokies sent us home last season.
And thus, I know a little more about that particular situation than I would
have otherwise expected, or care to.

Wouldn't mind another chance to sign Miss Silva.
Or, 6'6" sophomore-to-be, Clara Strack; though, both could end up in
Lexington.
Or Blacksburg.
Or .....

She has been her for a while and has never looked athletic, or run the floor and quite honestly she misses layups to the point she should not be in the game. She can block shots I will give her that, but she has a long way to go before she is capable of helping us deep In The tourney.

She is still 413 for 700 which is 59 percent so she makes more than she misses.

If VanLith leaves LSU she should go to Iowa and take Clarks spot. Molly Davis at the point, VanLith 2 and Stuelke in the post would give them a really nice team again.

May 1, 2024 is the deadline to enter the portal. If a coaching change is made after that date I believe players from that team have a 30 day window where they can enter the portal and transfer unrestricted.

Doesn’t do players any good to wait getting in the portal so I suspect if we have any leaving we will know this week. I have a feeling on one player in particular based on some social media posts but will wait and see before opening that can of worms here.

Thanks for the info. I also think if anyone is going into the portal it will be soon or not at all. KJH has a very low transfer rate so far, really just players at the very end of the bench or special situations like Marta. She also has a very high stay rate. I'm trying to remember if anyone other than Jordy has not used their fifth year.

Yes, the players she gets seem to enjoy playing for her which I appreciate. I do think Kellie is a great person and a “players” coach. My beef is with her actual ability as an in game basketball coach.

Rae Burrell is the only player I can think of who decided to move on and not use their extra year. In her defense it seemed like the best plan after she had her injury and does seem to have worked out well for her.

Had she come back that probably would have been Kellie’s best team as it would have potentially had Jackson, Burrell, Horston and a healthy TK.
