I agree. I think how it all went down, suggests that is the case. Earlier it was reported it was a mutual parting of ways (which could have also been detrimental to the program). We now know that was not the case. I just cannot imagine given the AD’s track record he would have done so without having a target in place.

On the contrary… USC is the team who evaluates the talent and buys in. Just really good players and a coach with a great eye for undervalued talent (with a superstar ofc)

There is no right way to do that honestly. I think that is better than having it leaked all over before anything official comes out. At least this way it came straight from the horses mouth and there weren’t hours of wild speculation after people had leaked info.

They're hurt because they genuinely love Kellie, Sam, Joy and Jon ... and they are likely also blaming themselves for not winning enough to help their beloved coach/second mother keep her job.

Like I said before, it's an awful week to be a Tennessee fan. Too many wonderful, dedicated, hard-working, kind and loyal people had their hearts absolutely ripped from their chests.
