I think this is one of the better fits from the portal this season, coach Jack knows what to do with a kid like Velez. I’m excited to see what she can bring out of her, smart move by Velez.

Coach Kim is not messing around having girls play outta position. She’s going and getting what she needs to be successful. There is plenty to go around, I point out SC again, they are super deep and still manage to get most everyone time.

We really only had 3 players we could count on to maybe go off night in and night out. We have doubled that count already.

Right. I’m talking about some of these early season predictions with Alabama, Ole Miss, Kentucky, and Oklahoma ahead of UT.
Tennessee’s roster is a lot more formidable than the casual fanatics, sports analysts, and maybe even some coaches think right now.
Lazaria Spearman, Alyssa Latham, and Samara Spencer are fearless competitors.
Coach Caldwell has already said she has a chip on her shoulder with outsiders doubting whether she is ready for the big league!
And you can bet all the returnees feel disrespected. You don’t wake a sleeping giant.
Eyes wide open now🍊💥!

Interesting thought she’d be smart to go to St. John’s where she could be an impact player. Amoore hardly leaves the floor.

I think she really wanted to come to UT but appears we were looking for more scoring and speed from that position and found it.

I’m not sure, I just don’t see Kenny going away from Amoore controlling the ball. That high pick and roll offense is their bread and butter.

Lawrence can’t play off ball. I think Amoore is honestly a little small to play off ball in the SEC. She’ll get bullied defensively.

We have ten guards now if you include Puckett as she can play the 3 guard. If you remove her, we are at nine.

Right now I have her pegged as a four like she played most of the time last year. Whitehorn is a small forward three more than any other position. I don't know who else we'll get don't think were done should be another player or two added.

They have the big freshman coming in but they still don't look that great inside a lot of small players some may never see the floor. Rowe and Tyler.

People are referring to players like Janiah Barker as elite, when in two years of college she has averaged just 3 more ppg and nearly the same rebounds as Alyssa Latham in her freshman season. Latham received All-ACC freshman honors. Lazaria Spearman was a coveted HS and portal prospect who has contributed on a Miami team that two years ago went to the Elite 8.
Two other names are being rumored to have committed to Tennessee.
By the end of the portal, Tennessee is likely to have one of the top if not the best portal class in the SEC.
All of the complaints are just to take away from the early success of Coach Caldwell and her new coaching staff that folks tried to sabotage since Day 1.

Whitehorn hasn't committed yet. I'll comment on her once there's an actual post about a commitment from a reliable source.
