If college kids are so inferior, how come it is a graduate of college (CC) that is re-writing the way the game is played?

Look how much money Unrivaled has raised, and look who their backers are. I knew Phee's hubby had major basketball connections. They recently guaranteed a 240K salary, plus equity in the league. That's just over the WNBA max, and triple what W rookies make. This better work lol.

Rickea's team, Mist, plays in the very first Unrivaled game at 7 tonight on TNT.

Rae's team, Vinyl, plays in the second game tonight, also on TNT.

Smart of Unrivaled to use Friday and Mondays, which are usually WBB deserts. The Saturday afternoon games are likely to get buried by the NFL playoffs.

Jordan Horston and Izzy Harrison are playing at the kid's table, Athletes Unlimited, which begins in early Feb in Nashville.

Jordy has zero business playing there, should def have been in Unrivaled. Not sure how that didn't happen.

Good call on the All Star feel but with max effort.

Interesting tweeks that keep things moving: always shoot 1 free throw, if act of shooting it counts for 2 pts, if in the act of 3 pt shooting it counts 3. Also, no time clock in fourth qtr, just a winning score. The winning score is whatever total points of the team in the lead at end of 3rd plus 11 pts. Team behind at end of third came back to win the very first game.

I thought it was really fun.

This is a great opportunity for Rae, who perpetually lives on the cusp of W big time or W irrelevence. She has to work SO hard for everything she gets. Had limited mins last night, had 7 pts. Her team starts Arike, Rhyne Howard, and Dearica Hamby so shot opportunities are few and far between for anyone else. Fortunately, Rae is the ultimate hard worker and role player.

Alliayh Edwards was really, really good in Unrivaled last night. Last year's draft had FIVE players who will not only stick in the league but are potential All Star W players for years - Clark, Reese, Kamilla, Rickea and Edwards. Would have been six if Cam Brink hadn't been hurt. Never before, and probably never again will a draft be that deep.

One other thing that stood out to me was players who are NOT in shape. I'm always the one to bring this up and it's not body shaming it's physical conditioning observation - but A Boston - my goodness I was shocked! how, um, not in shape she's gotten in the off season. A few others as well but Boston stood out to me.
