2025 Recruiting

He says things publicly about his kids that MOST if not all parents say about theirs off the record that are highly known sports figures.
There may be a reason MOST parents stay off the record. They're probably not wrong.

For me, with moderately successful athletic children there was no choice but silence. My kids told me straight up to stay out of it. Of course I was loving and supportive but they were embarrassed at a certain level of parental over involvement in team matters.
I think he genuinely pours his all into their family and it’s a sincere love and passion that drives this family through their experiences in the game of basketball.
I believe that's the case with every overbearing sports parent ever born. Starts from a good place.

Then we're happy w what we got, we're hoping for good things, esp some size, in the portal, and we're back to the familiar territory of doing more w less to prove ourselves to the big dog recruits.
Agreed. I think our depth chart next year looks something like this (I know positions are more fluid with Coach Kim):
PG: Destinee Wells, Mia Pauldo, Mya Pauldo, Edie Darby
SG: Talaysia Cooper (PG/SF), Kaniya Boyd (PG), Kaiya Wynn (PG)
SF: Ruby Whitehorn (SG), Avery Strickland (SG)
PF: Alyssa Latham
C: Zee Spearman

If Wells and Wynn can both use their redshirts and return, that's still quite a lot of guard depth, and 11 players total. Knox (SF/PF) and Prawl (SF) fill the bigger needs given the lack of size and Whitehorn and Strickland will both be graduating after next season. I think regardless of what happens with these high school recruits, though, like you said, we're going to have to go after some size in the portal.

Most parents don’t have the social media following that the Pauldo twins father has, so what you are saying I don’t agree with it.

He can use his platform anyway he sees fit.

And a proven fact that you and others seem to dismiss, is his kids have consistently prove him right. They have beaten a lot of your and many others current favorite high school and college players.

They are the best HS backcourt.

If he was making claims that weren’t really valid then you might have a decent point.

Right now, it just seems like you’re uncomfortable because of the source it’s coming from.

You would agree 100% if it was coming from Geno, Dawn, and Mulkey I bet though.
GBO!

familiar territory with a new coach is not exciting to hear, but i give her grace this season because she came too late in the recruiting phase but still did great in the portal based off the school's name sake. Were still big time , were still on ESPN and national tv ALOT so of course were going to get transfer's who want to be seen in the spot light , but why are the high school seniors not seeing it earlier?

Tennessee has commitments from the best HS backcourt in the country.
Coach Caldwell, Coach Tubner, and Coach Lazo have established this program in the high school landscape in a matter of months.
It’s just facts.

best backcourt and smallest , we still need dominant scoring wings and bigs to make some real noise during this 4 year period of the twins. I pray they are recruiting hard with our staff.

NGL Dad worries me. Interesting how quick we are to badmouth Nyla's Unc as too active in the process.

Everyone loves supportive and involved parents. But silent involvement is SO much better. It's such a thin line and can turn sour so quickly. The beginning of the downfall of Holly Warlick was several sets of very loud parents. Her lockerroom never recovered.
They are building a brand.

They also have Prawl going to Miami and they're not even in her finalists.

I don’t believe those things are accurate like the football on3 predictions as wbb page is still in the works so most of the recruits aren’t updated or have legit rpms but I do believe Knox one was just updated yesterday

Mia Pauldo has been the best player in the 2025 class this summer. Every single event, every game, every head to head competition she has delivered. Easily a Top 5 player in the 2025 class. Mya Pauldo has had some injuries that held her out of AAU sessions and since returning has shown why during her junior/sophomore seasons she was ranked as a Top 20 recruit.
