Barnes doesn’t owe Pearl anything.

The fact there’s people still believe Pearl was mistreated by Tennessee due to his careless actions is absolutely mind boggling.

It anything, he helped create the mess.

Maybe he said it somewhere else another time but I didn't see anything from antisunshine about Pearl being mistreated. I agree Pearl landed himself in trouble but I still appreciate what he did here.

There were only four years between Pearl being fired and Barnes being hired. What is this about violating substance abuse policy rules?

Pearl lied about drug test results before the investigation and then again with Williams after. I don’t know what the four years comment is about. I said it took us a long time to get our feet under us. It did. Barnes had rough seasons at the beginning. It was not easy to recruit here then. He had to start from scratch.

I think it’s important to take a moment during our current success to reflect on how thankful we should all be for Cuonzo Martin who instilled hard nosed defense as a principle of Tennessee basketball.

Personally, I credit Robert C. Whitaker (1908-1910). This program was nothing before him.
