I love mashack but if we ever want to win a championship he just can’t be a starter. He is the best prototypical in 7th/8th man ever, but with him playing 27/30 minutes a game we are basically playing 4/5 on offense and that isn’t a recipe for success in March. Not everyone knows ball it’s okay.

I want all 4 back big guy. It was a really uneducated comment to claim Mashack is so expendable because he’s not a solid offensive option from the perimeter. You do you though. It’s pretty clear where your basketball IQ level is…

Mashack is an expendable starter. Sorry I don’t want a dude career averaging 4 points a game to win a natty. Like I said, he’s a great 7th/8th man but he is not a starting caliber player to win in March. Defense matters but buckets matter more in crunch time. Take off the orange tinted glasses

This one seems to be between Duke, Vols, and take your pick for a 3rd team. Going to be really tough beating the Dukies for a top 3 player. This recruitment reminds me a little of Banchero one where we were in it to the very end but allure of Duke won out for a top 3 national player.

Personally if the freshmen is Brandon Miller or Jabari smith talent then answer is pay the freshman. With Barnes history I don't see him paying that steep of a price.

Basillio claims we are in on 3 potential transfers that all average more than 12 points per game and they have all 3 let Barnes know they are coming. If that story is true we may not need to fret over high school recruiting

What a nightmare it must be to try and plan a roster rn without knowing whether the 5th year rule will go through or if the scholarship limit gets pushed up to 15. In addition to all the usual stuff

With transfer portal names right now being mainly mid majors guys, 12 points is a very general statement haha. Hopefully they don't sacrifice offensive efficiency for defense imo...........

IMO, we shouldn't put all the money on a 5* hs player. We haven't
had a lot more success with the 5* than with the 4* that stays a couple
years and get more development. I prefer spreading out the $$

It's very tough for a true freshman to play against grown men who've been doing strength and conditioning and playing ball in college for years.
