Being eligible and realistic options are two different things. Some players might be ready to explore their professional options or are just done with school. Mashack and Zeigler are who they are. Gainey could have more to gain from an extra season.
Also, just because someone is eligible for an extra season, it doesn't mean they fit into the teams plans. (Renaldo Woolridge/Oliver Nuhkumwa/Uros Plavsic)
Having Gainey's Dad on staff, fitting a need, and him not currently being seen as a draft prospect make him realistic.

Question about Cade. I noticed in some pregame and some YouTube videos that he takes shots from the corner from three distance. Is he working on extending his game or is this just a player messing around in warmups? He seems to have a nice touch. But in games he rarely gets further than 4 feet from the basket.

Seems to be the world we’re in. For billionaires who can’t own an NBA franchise, now they can try to draft a championship for under 15mm. It’s terrible for the sport, but it’s hard to stop greed. If someone doesn’t step in soon to create a structure with some kind balance, it’ll become irreparable. A friend pointed out the whole 2020 Montvue team made under a million combined.

They have “soaking” allowed as part of their NIL deals. It’s a religious loophole the school is willing to look past.

I don't think they have required that for some time. When Andy Reid got to BYU he wasn't Mormon, but he was when he left. It's such a heavily Mormon student population that a lot of the athletes end up converting.
