This is a little misleading because there are several transfers that are in year two. Yes, they were retained by their team, but they did not start at their current program. Clayton, Cryer, Denver Jones, Handlogten are all second year transfers with Broome and Will Richard being third year transfers.

Yeah, I get that, I’m just not sure we’ll see a resolution to the 5th year rule with the settlement at the same time. If that was the case, I doubt we’d be targeting portal point guards because it would seem to me like Barnes would undoubtedly just want to bring Zakai back if he expected this to be done in just a few days.

Until that court case about pay settlement is resolved there will be zero movement by the NCAA to pass the 5th year rule, but they'll move fast because if you're agree to pay X% to each student athlete the last thing you want is players in college 6 or 7 years after exhausting multiple redshirts.

Yep, but it provides a caveat for one and done transfers, which we had a few of this year and are looking at more for the future.
