I kinda like Marquel Sutton a PF stretch 4 at (6'9"-225) who can play down low and is athletic but can shoot the 3... but the caveat is he is coming from Omaha, so its always a risk can the move up to better competition still produce.

I'd be happy if we could find someone like that. We need a solid 4 guy that can post, stretch the floor/hit the 3, and dribble drive.
Igor showed signs of two of these ( albiet his drive was slow and usually only done when he had a clear/wide open path), but was never a post guy. We need that part of the equation (post-up) this year probably the most.

Tennessee Basketball Recruiting Update:

The Vols feel very good about Isaac McKneely from Virginia. He's got a major that doesn't quite translate to anything in UT's catalog so that's the hold up right now. Therefore, Tennessee feels like this one is going to get done. Rick Barnes visited yesterday with Ja'Kobi Gillespie in College Park, Maryland. Barnes hasn't been feeling his best, but he greatly gutted out yesterday's visit showing a real sense of urgency. My understanding is that Tennessee is not only involved with Gillespie (who's going to be super expensive), but they're also talking to another member of the Crab Five ... Guard Rodney Rice is now officially on Tennessee's radar as they're exploring adding another scorer to the mix. Rice averaged 13.8 points, 2.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists last season for the Crab Five after sitting out the season before. Prior to that Rice played at Virginia Tech. It should be pointed out that his ex-head coach Kevin Willard is trying to get him for his new stop at Villanova.

Meanwhile Tennessee has some clarity internally on what they're going to do on the front court. For now, it looks like Phillips, Okpara and Estrella are now all three sticking around for 2025-26. Estrella is interesting in that he's a potentially high-end player who's fighting injuries. If his body cooperates this could be a real plus for the Vols. I keep hearing that Rick Barnes is resolute in making Tennessee a more offensive basketball team going forward. Toward that end it's believed that the Vols will hold spots at the end of the roster for both Zeigler and Gainey while it appears Mashack has played his final game in a Tennessee uniform ... One other development is that forward Elyjah Freeman of local D-2 powerhouse Lincoln Memorial University is now involved with Indiana who are believed to be poised to throw stupid money at him. This is the essence of the portal. The concept of Freeman in Knoxville isn't dead by any means but Indiana's emergence is worth noting here.

If Gainey comes back and can improve his game even more this offseason, that would be huge. I’ll take his 11.6 PPG off the bench.

McKneely has a major that UT doesn’t have in its “catalog”??

So, he’s pursuing an American Studies degree according to UVA….UT offers American Studies….am I missing something?

Maybe this has something to do with it:

Update: down to Tennessee and Villanova.

He wants his friends and family to be able to watch him play. Tennessee leads with Gillespie.

Villanova has more money because of lack of sports programs.

I’m glad we lead, but it’s so annoying how we prioritize football to put most of our NIL into. We aren’t winning a championship anytime soon, and our recruit classes will always be in the 8-12 range with 8-10 win seasons.

Wish we would just go ahead and prioritize basketball/baseball

Football is also what brings in the money by a wide margin though, I am with you and wish for the same, but it’s just not a reality.

It's not listed as a major in the catalog, but I'm sure there's something close enough
