Not sure it’s possible, but really feels like a poll would have about 90%+ of folks in this forum wanting him banned.Alright, you're going on "ignore." I don't know why you constantly give weird replies and lie about what articles say. There is an entire paragraph about how the Vols have the edge over Louisville as of now.
Interesting that Barnes and staff apparently didn't think he was SEC material coming out of HS but do now. Can't imagine he chose Belmont over TN if they were recruiting him. From same article
Maryland guard Ja’Kobi Gillespie
Tennessee has all the momentum to land Maryland transfer Ja’Kobi Gillespie, sources tell On3. The Greenville, Tennessee, native started his career at Belmont before spending this season at Maryland. Despite the Terrapins hiring Buzz Williams on Tuesday, Maryland is not expected to bring back Gillespie. And his former head coach Kevin Willard is now at Villanova, but Tennessee has the momentum and has been in constant contact.
Yea, they’ll likely be a top 3-5 NIL roster next seasonI am not saying he is going to Louisville so don't take this the wrong way.
But I have some connections to the city of Louisville and the team. I've had former teammates play there. I've known and interacted with many former players, some in the NBA.
And I have connections with donors and big businesses in the city.
People underrate Louisville. There is a LOT of money available to that program. I'd never say it is unacceptable if we can't compete from a money perspective.
he already gave us that update this morning. Was hoping for something more definitive than that we just have a slight edgeAlright, you're going on "ignore." Tennessee has the slight edge to land Isaac McKneely this point, a source told On3.

By going to Belmont, he wasn't highly recruited. We had Dillione and Edwards. As the portal shows, some guys just need a couple of years to develop.Interesting that Barnes and staff apparently didn't think he was SEC material coming out of HS but do now. Love Mashack, but every team we faced knew he was never an offensive threat whatsoever. If Gillespie is fine playing off ball, then I’d love ZZ back. Again, I’m just sick tired of him getting his **** packed driving to the rim, but at the same time it’s hard to argue against his production.
Shack just needs to move on, that’s all I’ll say.
I’d definitely be fine with:
PG: ZZ
SG: Gillespie
SF: McKneely
That’s filthy, you have two scorers and ZZ…instead of just Chaz.
Hey, I'll be happy if we land him, I could care less how much NIL value he has. I hope he can Everyone seems to think the "all mighty dollar" is driving college sports, and it probably is.Info came from one step away from the family. A close step away, but maybe that was just the starting point. I could text the family member but not going to. I'm sure the whole of Greene County is trying to find out
I saw that same interview. He said that a number of the top schools will have an $8 to $10 million budget this year. Would hope we are close to that.saw pete nakos say they would be in the 8-10 million range this year. Wonder if we are at least in the same ballpark or if we are a full tier or two below that
That's a good point but do you really think a starting 5 can win a national championship without a supporting cast? The supporting cast has to have a dollar value too. The trick is going to find the supporting cast that understands their role, and value, on a championship team.I don’t disagree about what’s fair, but I think we’re going to see double that soon. When you think about the dollar value of a program like Texas making a FF, the value of the players that get you there is easily over 10mm across five starters. It’s about to get gross.
