2025 Transfer Portal

So will allot of university once the NCAA allows directly payment starts.
Tennessee up their women's basketball NIL deals funding last year.
But that directly payment means even more university's Will have money to help college athletes even university that doesn't have business or donors to support NIL deals.

Some university might not can afford going revenue sharing at the maximum amount 20.5 million but most will be able to help more college athletes with some spending money.

I understand the point you're making but there's a difference in what some schools are doing/will do with revenue sharing and what TCU is doing. TCU is spending with the big dogs. Its why they are getting Olivia Miles.

I can count on two hands the schools willing to pony up for what shes going to get at TCU.

Makes you wonder if these players hit the portal because Nell retired or whether Nell saw the writing on the wall and folded up her tent because these players were hitting the road.

Georgia Tech

Gabbie Grooms
, 5-9, G, Fr. (2.1 ppg)

Tianna Thompson, 5-10, G, Fr. (4 ppg)

Ariadna Termis, 6-6, C, Soph. (4 ppg, 3.6 rpg)

Rusne Augustinaite, 6-0, G, Soph. (5.2 ppg)

Dani Carnegie, 5-9, G, Fr. (12.9 ppg, 4.5 rpg)

Tonie Morgan, 5-9, G, Jr. (13.7 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 5.6 apg)

Kara Dunn, 5-11, G, Jr. (15.5 ppg, 5.8 rpg)

Also, several schools like PSU(9), BC (8), AZ (7), OM (7), ASU (8) and Aub (10) that have 7-10 transferring out, which is basically starting from scratch building a team all over. In the case of OM Coach Yo, looks like she "cut" all of the non-producing players.

Interesting players in the portal: Kate Koval (ND 6'5" C). She is going to be a very productive C somewhere.

Kneepkens is the best player in the portal IMO (more efficient than Latson). Career 43% from three, 86% FT and 50% FG...all excellent numbers for a 6" guard that rebounds and defends top notch as well.

Only thing I know about TCU was what I heard TV people said about there coach during the NCAA tournament.

Missouri ad said something interesting taking questions about Kellie Harper hiring on Monday.
I posted it in Kellie Harper hiring thread Missouri ad talking.

5:00 mark he goes into two or three years that settlement will give more information on what each university is spending on players

Olivia Miles is going to end up getting b/n $750K-$1M. Unless a school is going to be wildly outside of the normal revenue distribution % allocated to womens basketball, the difference maker in landing players of that caliber will be the NIL add on and not the revenue distribution. If Mizzou is going to play in that NIL range then good for them but I highly doubt it.

I guess a good reason now is that she will be playing a lot. That roster is decimated.
Is it? They have the #3 recruiting class coming in and they're bringing back all of their freshmen and sophomores who were the #19 and #7 recruiting classes in 2024 and 2023 (including Nunu Agara, who led the team in scoring and rebounding), plus they bring back their point guard, Lepolo, who only played 5 games last year due to injury.

Agree 100%. The two players that went to the portal were basically 3 point specialist types...but not big contributors on defense or rebounding etc.. Probably was the right move for them.

I picked out Ziegler the other day as a top player in the portal the way she can pass and shoot she is just a really terrific player. Rating Suarez over Koval is really dumb however. So some good choices and bad in this list.

Koval has a good chance to become an excellent Center. She has the tools and the motor. ND was better when she was manning the post.
