Routine? I saw what Lazo recruited to Mississippi State and what Tubner recruited to Alabama and they didn't close on top tier players at their former schools consistently. We do know there was an increase in NIL opportunities this season at Tennessee, so that may be helping, but this is new for them and definitely not routine. A couple more top 5 classes and we might be able to begin to call it routine, but we aren't there yet.

Look where Alabama is right now.. I think Roman is to thank for that.. and they are still receiving fruit from his labor with the 2025's and the kids they are recruiting in the 2026-2028's

Madi Hawk could have played for Kellie bc she was a half-court defender and gunner,,,but for Kim's system, absolutely NOT,,,no argument here

I think they were saying portal and HS recruiting at a high level for this staff is routine. They are batting 1000 with their 2 chances. Thus they said routine for this staff. You can't argue that until they don't, just saying.

I’m 1000% for certain they know exactly what we both are saying and will continue to go out of their way to downplay the recruiting success this staff has had in 8 months. It’ll get them a few likes on the forum.
It’s intentional. I believe the staff will use the portal less as they build the program through high school recruiting and watch how some casual fans pivot now to discussing the transfer portal as the main priority when for years they have pleaded for high school recruiting successful and got a #1 (247Sports) and #2 (ESPN) in 2025 but still aren’t satisfied.

“I love the coaching staff. I remember they had a coaching change, so I was kind of intrigued to see what they were about. I was actually really impressed when I got to talk to the new head coach there. The way they’ve been building, they’ve been really, really impressive, in my opinion. I definitely like the way they recruit, too. I like the school, I like the coaches, and Tennessee also has that name. I definitely like that school. I love their style of play. I’m not gonna lie, I do really like their style of play. They get up and down really fast and they put defense on the line there.”
