The wheels I assure you are already spinning. Guys like Rubio in the GOP, Whitmer for the Dems, they are all already organizing teams, discussing polling results and how to adapt to them, and thinking about fundraising. Rubio has to be the odds on favorite for the GOP. Who else you got?

And for the Dems, Whitmer seems like a promising front runner since she can motivate women to vote and is from the midwest. Hard to see a nominee that reflects the social values get it, given last night. So does not auger well for Newsome. Who you got?

And remember, Trump is a lame duck even before taking office. He will need to get done whatever he wants to get done in the first 3-4 months because after that people will be jockeying for position within his own party to own whatever is going well, and distance themselves from any trouble spots.

Vance will be the GOP nominee. Sad to say (as of right now)

Why do you say that? He might be able to claim some identity with Trump. Probably depends on whether Trump ends up endorsing him, but certainly a viable option.

Vance/Vivek

One of Trump's strengths was his ability to appear calm and steadfast to his direction, despite criticism and even predictions from within the GOP that it would backfire. Vance can do the same thing and has no doubt learned a lot watching Trump. But Vivek? I don't know. Strikes me as too incendiary. Plus, if the economy really is the issue and people are tried of voting based on social issues, Vivek isn't the way to go, whereas Rubio or Vance might be.

Vivek is really smart and not a politician. He can reach to younger people.

I hope I'm wrong but IMO Vance is a young poor mans Romney. Just another establishment guy.

More predictions.

I admire your ability to shed your previous wrong prediction like a snake shedding its skin.

Hogan is done. He was only popular in his state.

That is no disqualifier, but ok. If it were Rubio, who would you suggest he consider for VP? Don't think of what you want -- think of what rounds out and advantages his ticket.

I'm not predicting anything, just speculating on possible candidacies and asking who people think might run. Sheesz.
