-Galilee, VQ.In an open session that was closed to just a few spectators KC was on fire. Ja Morant took him to school a few times but he also had some jaw dropping plays himself. Only strength gave JM an advantage. He threw dimes to DJ Jeffries and Tarik Black. Caught a monster dunk off the rim over two 6-9 posts.
Stole from @coskramer in the recruiting forum
From a poster on VQ:
I don’t know Chandler from the next guy. But I know someone very connected on the AAU circuit in the south and if what’s been reported is true on Chandler leaning Vols he’s not coming alone
Kennedy and Paulo Banchero are close. Kennedy is a needle mover and a very popular player on the national scene. Viewed as the best PG in the country guys want to play with him.
Barnes is really pushing the KD angle which plays huge with Paulo. Remember not only is Paulo very similar build to KD but he leaves in Seattle so he grew up with KD playing for the Sonics. Barnes is hammering home to him that he can start to facilitate Paulo's wing skills just like he did with KD and lead to KD scoring at a high level Day 1 in the League.
If Barnes can get Kennedy in the boat early I wouldn't be surprised at all if Barnes was able to land Banchero. Washington is a perennial under achiever despite getting elite talent almost every year. I mean they are awful.
Seems like some wishful thinking and quite a bit of liberty taken by that VQ poster. Almost all of that is common knowledge, and the Durant/Seattle Supersonics angle is ridiculous. 1.) Durant only played one season in Seattle before they moved to OKC. 2.) Banchero was 6 or 7 years old when they moved. He likely barely remembers it.Stole from @coskramer in the recruiting forum

I think KC certainly helps us with PB if he were to come here, and the belief is that Tennessee probably has a slight lead for KC. Also well known that Barnes is pushing the KD angle with Banchero.
Wishful thinking most definitely. Won’t be surprised if it doesn’t happen and won’t be surprised if it does. With Barnes and English I think anything is possible.Seems like some wishful thinking and quite a bit of liberty taken by that VQ poster. Not sure if been mentioned but does chandler have a date in mind to make his choice?
If some of these mock drafts are correct and Keon and Jaden are lottery picks, next year, UT will win a lot. Pons hopefully comes back, Fulk is all-SEC again, JJJ shows mad development, along with SV and I'm convinced we make a run, this year. Gaines contributes as well, love that kid. Anosike is a valuable piece of the puzzle as ORN and Bailey will have every opportunity to play their way into the rotation. We are going to be so deep and I haven't even mentioned Plavsic, who I haven't given up on, yet. Hoping Pember can redshirt. Damn, I almost forgot about Walker, who will probably average close to 10 minutes, imo. Hell, UT probably could have had McClung if they wanted him and said, "nah, we good".If we get both Kennedy and Banchero, look out. Other high-profile guys on our list (or not on our current list) will also follow suit. I know I shouldn't get ahead, but this could be the class that nudges us from being a potential Sweet 16 team to being a NC contender.

So deep, youngish, but loaded. Then, sign Chandler, Banchero and Jabari Smith. Wow! I think UT gets Chandler, for sure and another top 40 recruit, at the least.
The Golden Age of UT Basketball began Grant's sophomore year and last year was just a hic-cup, that more or less didn't even happen, Tournament-wise, which is the kinda sport college basketball is, any way.
I think UT will be so good defensively next year. I see some kind of Championship. I think UT wins the SEC Tournament and make a run to the Elite 8. I know crazy and that's only if Pons comes back. Still, we are going to he so good, with or without Pons. Still should be a top 25 team without Pons, imo
Well, Barnes isn't going anywhere, already dodged that bullet, recruiting is rolling and player development is off the charts. What could go wrong ?I hope that it is the golden age of TN hoops. But I have BVS. Mears has it rolling and had to be placed at UT-Martin. Dickey has TN FB rolling and sneaks off to Florida. Stan Huntsman has TN Track on top and Texas steals him from TN. Even Doug Brown had a great track program and turncoats to FL (and was even a VFL All-American). Majors is finally turning TN into a national power, is incapacitated with a heart problem and surgery, rushes back at the worst possible time, and his tenure implodes. Fulmer and Delmonico are pushed out after taking TN FB and BB to levels not often if ever reached and not approached since. Lane ducks out when there was a ton of optimism. Bruce cooks up some hot dogs after getting TN it's only EE. All of that makes Donnie's conviction seem like nothing at all. Barnes has been an amazing stroke of luck after all if that chaos. But I'm scarred and my glass isn't even half full yet.
