Also, I'd willingly skip my Journalism class for Memphis-Belmont. Considering I missed both meetings last week due to sickness, though...it's probably in my best interests to be in attendance. ESPN3 is a great thing, though.

I'm really excited to see Duke play, and how Austin Rivers is involved in that offense.

ESPN3 is a godsend. When the stupid damn nationwide race went to red flag I watched the first 30 minutes of the UT game on espn3.

I know Kent State's going to have a pretty good team this year (assuming they win the MAC and have a solid season, they're probably looking at a 13 or 14 seed), but WVU looks absolutely awful.

Yeah, they don't... but at the same time, they have Curry, Dawkins and Thornton to throw at people whenever.

They are all 2 guards though.

If I was Coach K, I'd make Rivers my PG and just go with it. Curry isn't a PG.

Hopefully their OOC isn't too bad.

I get what you mean. Those three can all play defense though. And curry can score 20+ on a given night.

They don't totally need a true point guard if they can all shoot.

Who is the last time to win a title that didn't have a true PG though?

It's average (assuming you're talking about KSU). They've got two more opportunities for notable to good wins (vs. UAB on Dec. 3, at Utah State on Dec. 22).

Talkin about WVU if they want a tourney bid.

I know. It'd be nice if someone could play it like Scheyer did for them, but I just don't see that.

If their defense gels with Rivers, they of course have a shot. Not a favorite though.

They have the talent. If they had a true PG, I think they'd be right behind Duke as favorites. They'll have four big men that can play this year and tons of outside shooting.

Lots of names, but not much substance. Kansas State is going to be an NIT squad at best, Mississippi State has Rick Stansbury as the head coach of their squad so they won't be doing anything, Missouri State might steal an NIT bid, etc. They play one legitimately tough game at Baylor on Dec. 23. The rest are good, but not great games. The home game against Miami could be useful because they've got a good squad this year, but it's at home, so it's not of much value.

Yes. The one thing about them is that any given night, they have guys who can hit five threes, and two guys who are a threat to score 20 plus.

The plumlees are ballplayers, too.

Quinn Cook can play point.

Imagine if they still had Kyrie.....
