#25 Missouri vs #7 Georgia (Noon - ESPN)

Since the SEC expanded to 14, the Top 6 teams in the conference (Bama, LSU, A&M, UGA, UF, USCe) had been 40-0 against the "rest of the league"

First win for the rest of the league

More if a BB school. Very similar to Ky

Right but I'm trying to figure out where the convo's going, because so far it's been:

Signature SEC win for Pinkle and Mizzou.

Does that get him off the "hot seat"?

I don't think he was really on it...

The Kansas City and St. Louis media were claiming he was after last season

They do know they are in Mo., right?

They do...but how's that relevant? (besides location)

My point is, why would he be in the hot seat after one season (injury filled) in the SEC? His teams were competitive and won on the road. For a BB school, not a terrible season.

It wont take that long. They could beat Mizzou at home. Not many gave Mizzou a chance today.

I might not have said so here, but I've been assuring my friends that Mizzou would pull the upset. I just wish I had put some money on it.

Not from the Mizzou fans I know. They've had more bball success but unlike Kentucky I believe they'd rather be better at football.

As stated above, I don't get why he would be on the hot seat. Didn't they have a real good team recently? (I have been in a FB coma since 2007)

Mark Richt chews out the ref and no flag whatsoever. UT's coach gets flagged, UGA's doesn't. Imagine that.

This got me PO'd. Sanctimonious Richt bumps the head official going off the field at half time on national TV and no - none - penalty. Probably won't be anything from the SEC office this week about it either. Clean it up SEC.

Glad UGA got it handed to them at home after how the officials saved their tails against us. I could care less how it reflects on us at this point. We can take care of how things look by winning each game.

I know we lost to ga but we absolutely killed their momentum last week. They didn't have anything today. A lot of questions for that team the rest of the year.

Ah ok. Because before that they had gone 12-2 (beating a #25 Neb, #22 Texas Tech, #2 Kansas, and #25 Arkansas and playing in the Big 12 championship), 10-4 (playing again in the Big 12 championship, and beating #20 Illinois, #22 Northwestern), 8-5, and 7-5 and spent all of those first 3 seasons (and part of that 4th) ranked.

Going from 8-5 to 7-5 then to 5-7 in a new conference where it looked like maybe their players really weren't prepared / their playing style maybe really wasn't going to be successful in...started making a bunch of fans uneasy/upset. Supposedly this was going to be a judgment year for his career (even though Pinkel is like their second winningest coach in school history)
