As well you should be. I really started worrying about a lot of folk's mental health when Trump was elected in 2016. However, I'm not sure if we're worrying about the same people. The dynamics necessary for a Trump reelection are beyond frightening.

Trump has committed sedition, incited a mob to attack Congress, and presents a clear and present danger to the safety and well being of our nation.

He must be expelled from office immediately.

I hope his cabinet has the fortitude to meet this challenge, and relieve Trump from his duties via the 25th Amendment. If not, Congress must proceed with a snap impeachment immediately.

To those who still support Donald J. Trump, you are nothing less than seditious traitors. The last time the Capitol was breached was in 1814 by the British during the war of 1812.

Trump shall forever be a stain on our democracy. His insurrection a reminder that our government is fragile, and that we must always be cognizant of the threat of a tyrant, as foreseen by our founding fathers.

Can you show me where Trump incited a mob? He didn’t let all those people into the capitol. I wouldn’t call it a breach either, only missing was a welcome mat. The cops held the door open for them to come in.

He did tell them to go down Pennsylvania Avenue and tell republicans to overturn the election. And I saw them breaking through doors and windows trying to get in to the Capitol building. They had to evacuate congress and the vice president. Who are you kidding with this ****?

There is no question we came close to this with Reagan. He was bed ridden with Alzheimer's less than 5 years after leaving office.

Now, as a footnote... Donald Trump's father, Fred Trump, had Alzheimer's for 6 years before his death. There is still much to learn about the disease but there does appear to be a hereditary link. Trump is 71 years old. It's not so ridiculous to think about even in regards to Trump (although I'm not doing that with my above question).

I think a lot goes into it. If it was a second term, I think more aides and close colleagues would do anything to protect the president and hide the symptoms a la Nancy Reagan and just ride out the term. First term presidents it’s a little more tricky.

I’m not sure if Trump is in cognitive decline as much as he is just a narcissist that surrounded himself with yes men that didn’t care about the country and were just trying to please their boss. Who knows? He could have early stages of cognitive decline, but Trump nor anyone on his team would never admit as much.

I interpret the 25th as being a procedural remedy if the president is incapacitated - killed, hospitalized, terminal illness, coma - that sort of thing.

just wait the 2 more weeks and send the baby packing. He already got his favorite toy taken from him. And he’s pissed off enough people now that might have come to his defense post presidency that we should let the fool bury himself.

This post caught my eye.
There were a number of you confident of a 2nd term, some as recently as a couple of weeks ago.
But I'm still worried about the mental health of the Trumpers with the most sever cases of TDS.
