Auburn isn't afraid of NCAA, and showed all of the SEC that the health of their athletics is critical to the success of their university.

Auburn and Tennessee have both had NCAA compliance issues, both fired football coaches (Tubberville/Fulmer) and had to rehire coaches after their initial coach was fired. Auburn has done a tremendous job, winning and playing for BCS while we struggle to break .500 (and haven't for 3 years).

This isn't a butch jones post. I believe in Butch and think he was/is the right man for the job. It's a overall operational question.

My point is WTF, why does my university choose to be 2nd tier?

Keep in mind this is the first "good" hire Auburn has made in BB in almost 20 yrs & they've also hired some bone-head FB coaches recently (Bowden. & Chizek)

If all of the coaches who have lied were fired, there would be no coaches.

How many great seasons and championships will they rack up before they get busted?

I keep reading about how Auburn or Ole Miss or whoever is going to get in trouble someday and how we want to do things the right way, and I wonder why? We didn't commit any major violations, and we still got 4 years of losing football to show for it. And it's not like we were winning championships right before that either.

If we're doing things "the right way", then please let's start doing them wrong.

Ole Miss signed a great class in 2013 and people on here immediately said they were cheating. Well, UT is coming off of 4 straight losing seasons and signs a great class and those same people chalk it up to "Butch gets it." :ermm:

You're exactly right. And it feels like 90% of our fan base WANT to lose. Should have kept Bruce instead of firing him...how much worse would things REALLY be?

I have not said that Ole Miss cheated.

I find Auburn's behavior very risky even if they aren't crossing the line completely. There are teams out there in both sports that win without the shady stuff. I'd rather go that way.

Auburn got lucky they ever found Gus. He happened to come along with that train wreck of a coach Chizik (who was a loser at Iowa State for crying out loud) and Gus managed to organize a title run as an OC. He leaves, they fire Chizik and because of their close ties are able to wrangle him back.

In basketball that program has been a pile of rubble for years and they are now desperate enough to hire a coach with a show cause STILL IN EFFECT.

Wait for it buddy......Pearl will come here soon and " Show Cause " and out coach us, probably in his 1st year at Auburn.

Other fanbases made similar accusations of our 2014 class. Once they realized the majority of our big signees were either legacies or in state guys it leveled off a bit though.

I'm not sure about Hart,he backed into hiring Jones,after he stripped Dooley of his defensive staff, and then hired his Bama buddy,or so it seems to me
