If he even hypothetically turned down sitting on the bench for one year at Duke and getting a better education for playing at Chattanooga then he is a certified moron.

I wouldn't know if he got any other interest from schools - but he was still going here regardless is the point. He probably didn't receive interest from other schools worth a crap.

hey look up the stats from every single scrimmage and the spring game. The players wanted coleman. And i guarantee that coleman gets interest from multiple bcs programs after the season he is about to have.

I guarantee that won't happen, because 1) he's not good enough, and 2) that would result in major violations anyway.

apparently lighting up the most famous 1-aa team in the country isnt enough. I wonder what the excuses will be when coleman and the mocs go on the road and beat the team that just beat ole miss this week. Hey has anyone looked up those stats yet. Or do you want to blindly continue supporting the worst qb and coach in tennessee history.

Those stats are meaningless as they weren't playing against the same teams. In 2008 the coaching staff didn't trust him to do more than hand the ball off. But yeah, clearly Kiffin was conspiring to screw him over. As for support, I'll take the guy that gave five years to the program while morons like yourself were sending death threats over the chump that left because he wasn't starting as a sophomore.

Apparently passing for more yards against Bama than any other QB isn't enough to distance yourself from the UTC QB.

Comparison against common opponent (Bama):

Crompton - cmp 21, att 36, yds 265, cmp% 58.3, lng 31, td 1, int 1, rat 123.78

Colman – cmp 7, att 35, yds 36, cmp% 28, lng 10, td 0, int 2, rat 24.10

And that is a fair comparison how?

Good stuff. BJ plays Div IIA and numbers get better. News at 11.

He's also playing with crappier WRs, TEs, linemen, and defense. Evens out.

Even more telling to me is that Cutcliffe was his biggest supporter (according to some on here), yet Cut didn't even ask Coleman to transfer to Duke.

And how would you know if he didn't ask Coleman to transfer to Duke? Wouldn't that transfer have required that he sit out a year?

I don't claim to know that. I just found it telling that Coleman didn't wind up with Cutcliffe at Duke.

this is such a tired and ridiculous argument.

fact: The mocs are going to contend for a Conference title in the next couple of years.

fact: Bj Coleman is not even the best QB in the SOCON...Next season that will change but right now he is about 3rd best in the conference.

Fact: Most UT fans will always hate on bj no matter what he does.

No use arguing about it.

Who cares? It happens all of the time. He would not have lost the year and he would be playing big boy football. I doubt that he is in a rush to finish and start his job at the Bank, TVA, or BCBS.

No use arguing about it.
