I hate Facebook. I commented on Pres. Biden’s post about withdrawing troops, thanking him for fulfilling what Pres. Trump wanted but was crucified for. I was then ambushed by the Biden mob. Notifications have been nonstop. There is no reasoning with some people.

So what Trump wanted but couldn't or wouldn't get done? Seems like some of those comments may be correct

Wanted. The media cried that it would destabilize the region and Trump was wrong for wanting it. Haven’t seen it much from the media that Pres. Biden is doing it. Just hate the double standard.

But if he thought it was right then why stop just because the media said mean stuff? He backed down from a lot because of "what the media might say" that makes me question how people see him as a leader. If he had just taken it to the people he wouldn't have to worry

When he committed to the withdrawal there were plenty of old military brass and talking heads burning up the airwaves condemning his decision, even those that were very pro-Biden during election season. Seems he was steadfast and did it anyway.

How Biden’s team overrode the brass on Afghanistan

I’m going to give him credit for sticking to his “guns “ and doing what should have been done years ago , but I’m going to wait and see what happens next because you know it’s coming . He is now messing with the machine , the only questions are … where will it happen and how big will it be to put enough pressure on him to go back in .

He just created more Bin Laden's in the fashion he vacated in the middle of the night and left them all for dead. Just like the border, he has no clue. (Hint: Bin Laden was once an ally till we broom handled him).

The training camps may be up and running by year end or before but the taliban is already claiming they are taking back territory at a breakneck pace. And apparently we are leaving caches of weapons behind. If the way you leave is disasterous then leaving is only temporary or next the Afghan people will hate us.

You think China will deal with them in any way beneficial to us? They will deal with them the way the rest of the Arab world deals with the "Palestinians". Feed them just enough to wage their proxy war and not get their hands dirty. I wish there was a way to give everybody a month to move out and then render the entire area radioactive for a billion years... but there isn't.

This is a problem.. I know we are leaving tons of equipment behind and I'm sure we are leaving weapons for the Afgan Army which will end up in the Talibans hands.

China will always do what's best for China and that's just one of the reasons they will eventually overtake us as a world superpower.

Meh.
I remember Trump being lied to about the level of troops when he ordered a draw down and I also remember thinking some general should be executed for treason. The one thing I think Trump actually did well was not bombing the hell out of everyone all over the world. while I’m happy about this move by Biden and I’m glad it’s happening, I’m curious…..based on who Biden has already bombed…..who he’s planning on attacking with the troops he’s “bringing home”.

China will be in Afghanistan so fast our chairs my still be warm. Their Silk Road 2.0 plans would take them through Afghanistan, not to mention all the precious metal reserves in those mountains. Afghanistan has a lot rare earth materials necessary for electronics, they would be a great country to "partner" with a la Africa where the favors come later. Plus if the natives get too uppity it's just a hop over the border to slap them around. They've already established they know how to deal with noncompliant Muslims.
