4-0 FL vs. 5-0 LSU game thread

I've been flipping between this game and the Michigan/Iowa game. I was hyped for this game but I must say the other game is way more exciting. 3-10 with Florida scoring on a wide open touchdown... I've gained a lot of respect for Forcier in this game. He is one of the most passionate players I've ever seen. I'm kind of surprised by some of the stuff he does as a freshman.

with a competent DC LSU wins this game by 17, even with jefferson at QB. LSU matches up well in speed, just like we will next year.

Doesn't make sense... LSU is on pace to allow fewer points than Monte Kiffin. Only allowed three until less than a minute in the 2nd quarter. I don't like Chavis or LSU but I disagree with you completely. The defense did awesome against Tebow and Co.

ABC and what??? Iowa isn't very good. It's just the Big 10 is bad. I am in Iowa and hate them personally.

Did you see their 1 point win over Northern Iowa and 3 point win over Arkansas State?

Agreed. Defense is shaky, but the QB is the problem.

I don't think Penn State is good personally. They haven't beaten anyone good. They are the Big 10's version of Ole miss in my opinion. Their top three wide receivers led the country in receiving last year and they are all gone. Daryl Clark looks like a chicken with his head chopped off. The struggled with a bad illinois team for three quarters and almost lost to syracuse. I just don't think Penn State is good. Akron, Temple, Syracuse, Illinois and Eastern Illinois are Penn State's wins. Which of those impress you? :p

I think my head just exploded. Ricky Stanzi? Weird because I don't see any chance of him ending up in the NFL. Iowa runs the offense that Tennessee is running for Crompton. They roll Stanzi out of the pocket because he can't stand in the pocket. On Iowa's first drive tonight, Stanzi dropped back and missed his wide receiver who ran a post route and was standing in place by 10 yards. He threw it to a Michigan player 10 yards away from the WR and the Michigan player returned it for a touchdown.

Hebrsteit's exact words were "that was a horrible throw. you don't see many worse than that".

if you read closely i said verry talented, that team hasent jelled, loosing williams really hurt them, but still they should have beatn iowa at home, thats why i think the hawkeyes are for real, and im gona pick them to beat ohio state if they hang on and beat michigan

I take that back. They didn't almost lose to syracuse. I confused them with Minnesota but they didn't look good against syracuse.

stanzi is underrated, and hes just one of those guys that wins, ive seen stanzi make some great throws, i want max hall right now, and i havent evaluated everyone that is probley gona declare for the draft yet. stanzi is better than you think, he dosent have near the talent crompton does around him and they are winning.

Why would you only pick them if they beat Iowa? They can lose to Michigan and beat Ohio State. I don't think they will beat Ohio State. Ohio State is far more talented than Michigan. Forcier is only a freshman and Pryor has some experience. Tressel is also a better coach than Rodriguez. Normally I would say Iowa has no chance against Ohio State but the Big 10 looks really bad this year. Iowa struggling with the teams I told you about and Wisconsin, MSU and other Big 10 teams struggling lowly mid major schools.

Iowa hasn't beaten anyone good though. I think UCLA could beat Penn State. Stanzi isn't an NFL quarterback. They roll him out on just about every play. I live 10 minutes from Iowa City. I never miss an Iowa game because I like watching them lose. :)

Ferentz has dumbed down the offense for Stanzi. He isn't bad but he also isn't playing in a real offense. The offense they are playing in is what you watched Crompton do against Georgia today. They roll him out so all of his targets are right in front of him. He can't read the field when he is asked to drop brack.

forcier has played better than pryor so far this season hasent he, i know they can still win, even if UM beats them, but beating UM will give them more confidence when they play ohio state. id love to see iowa win the big 10 this year.
